  • Patent number: 11886585
Abstract: A computing system including a processor and a memory, which includes a first memory region operating as a kernel space and a second memory region operating as a user space. Maintained within the kernel space, a first logic unit receives a notification identifying a newly created thread and extracts at least meta-information associated with the newly created thread. Maintained within the user space, a second logic unit receives at least the meta-information associated with the newly created thread and conducts analytics on at least the meta-information to attempt to classify the newly created thread. An alert is generated by the second logic unit upon classifying the newly created thread as a cyberattack associated with a malicious position independent code execution based at least on results of the analytics associated with the meta-information associated with the newly created thread.

  • Patent number: 11714489
Abstract: Electromechanical polymer (EMP) actuators are used to create haptic effects on a user interface deface, such as a keyboard. The keys of the keyboard may be embossed in a top layer to provide better key definition and to house the EMP actuator. Specifically, an EMP actuator is housed inside an embossed graphic layer that covers a key of the keyboard. Such a keyboard has a significant user interface value. For example, the embossed key provides the tactile effect of the presence of a key with edges, while allowing for the localized control of haptic vibrations. For such applications, an EMP transducer provides high strains, vibrations or both under control of an electric field. Furthermore, the EMP transducer can generate strong vibrations. When the frequency of the vibrations falls within the acoustic range, the EMP transducer can generate audible sound, thereby functioning as an audio speaker.

  • Patent number: 11708099
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to work block encroachment warning systems for providing protection for rail workers working in a mobile or fixed work block. For example, a vehicle (V)-aware unit installed on a moving rail vehicle and a work block limit encroachment unit mounted on a railroad may wirelessly communicate with each other to determine a distance between them. When a vehicle is moving toward an occupied work block, the distance may be used to identify potential hazards.

  • Patent number: 11642547
Abstract: A phototherapy or BRT process and apparatus is provided, which, using a pre-recorded bioresonance frequency or compilation of frequencies, causes an EMR emitter to emit within a biological window of a target organism to positively or negatively affect the organism. The EMR may be generated in one or more LEDs by a device connected to a controller of the EMR emitter which device provides the pre-recorded bioresonance frequency or compilation of frequencies to control the LEDs' emitted light in terms of its intensity and/or a frequency or flicker-rate.

  • Publication number: 20230118411
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, systems, and storage media to track engine components are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a memory; instructions in the apparatus; and processor circuitry to in response to a notification that an engine is undergoing maintenance or in operation, identify an entry in a database that corresponds to the engine, the engine including a module; update historical data corresponding to the module based on the notification; and determine whether the module of the engine has been replaced by extracting data from a data packet obtained via a wireless communication; and when the module of the engine has not been replaced, replace a first identifier of the module stored in the entry with a second identifier of the module and maintain the historical data for the module in the entry.

  • Publication number: 20220123864
Abstract: A method of communicating between nodes in a network where a node receives a sequence of symbols that will form a packet on a first communications channel and has a planned packet that it would send on a second communications channel. A destination is encoded into an arbitration portion of a header sequence of the packet, the header sequence comprising a sequence of symbols. The transmission on the second communications channel is as per the planned packet, for as long as the symbols of the planned packet match the symbols being received on the first channel. An arbitration decision is made when the symbols do not match, with the node either continuing to send the rest of the planned packet, or the rest of the packet being received on the first communications channel.

  • Patent number: 11154447
Abstract: A support device provides elevation and support for a patient's foot, including ankle and heal, and limits lateral and medial rotation of the foot. This protects the knee from injury while healing. The device includes a generally flat main body, two spaced-apart lateral ridges, and a medial depression between the lateral ridges that provides a support surface on which the foot may be positioned. The lateral ridges can extend to a height above the support surface so that inner side surfaces of the lateral ridges are adjacent to a majority of a foot placed in the medial depression. The lateral ridges can terminate below a top of the foot to permit unrestricted ventilation and access to the foot. The lateral ridges can be spaced apart to facilitate placement of a foot onto and removal of the foot from the support surface without manual manipulation of the device.
