  • Patent number: 11918037
Abstract: A reusable multiple dose smoking appliance includes a cover and a base that removeably cooperate with a receptacle. The receptacle defines at least one reservoir configured to contain a volume of a smokeable media and at least one primary smoke channel. Cooperation of the base and receptacle define a secondary smoke channel that is in fluid communication with the primary smoke channel. An aperture is defined by the cover and is oriented to selectively expose and obstruct the smokeable content reservoir. When the reservoir is exposed to atmosphere and a combustion source is disposed proximate thereto, user inhalation effectuates combustion of the smokeable media such that the fire effluent or smoke is communicated to the user via the primary and secondary smoke channels.

  • Patent number: 11909456
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques that enable a supplemental voltage to be delivered to a Remote Radio Unit (RRU) to compensate for a voltage loss that occurs between a primary Direct Current (DC) power source and the RRU. A supplemental voltage controller is described that captures current environmental metadata associated with an operation of the RRU and calculates an RRU voltage at the RRU. In doing so, the supplemental voltage controller may generate a supplemental voltage control signal that supplements the RRU with a supplemental DC voltage.

  • Patent number: 11856644
Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle may include a flight system, a wireless communication system, a processor, and a power system having a battery and a battery charging port. The power system may be operable to power the flight system, the wireless communication system, and the processor. The processor may be configured to operate the flight system to fly the unmanned aerial vehicle from a ground position to an in-air position while the battery charging port is attached to an air-to-ground tether, trigger a release of the air-to-ground tether from the battery charging port after determining the unmanned aerial vehicle has reached the in-air position and the battery is charged, and operate the flight system to execute a flight pattern while operating the wireless communication system to search for a wireless communication device.

  • Patent number: 11776777
Abstract: A charging protection and regulation device includes a matrix of Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) devices having multiple legs each including one or more PTC devices, a matrix of diodes having multiple legs and multiple types of diodes having different voltage drops, and a matrix of resistors having multiple legs each including a current limiting resistor. Each PTC device is thermally coupled to an ambient environment using a different amount of thermal coupling. Respective legs of the matrix of PTC devices, matrix of diodes, and matrix of resistors are electrically coupled together, and coupled to one or more electron storage devices. During conditions of overload or circuit fault, the PTC devices act as high resistance circuit interrupters. During conditions of light loading between input and output terminals, the different voltage drops across the diodes provide voltage regulation/current regulation such that a specified charge voltage is provided to electron storage devices.

  • Patent number: 11524662
Abstract: Systems and methods for manipulating the pitch and/or tilt of a trailer relative to a supporting surface. A trailer leveling system includes one or more telescopically adjustable support assemblies that are constructed to be pivotably connected to a frame of a trailer. Each support assembly includes a post that is pivotably connected to a trailer frame. A rack is formed along at least one side of the post. A tube slideably cooperates with the post and supports a pawl that cooperates with the rack to allow translation of the tube relative to the post in a first direction and selectively prevent translation of the tube relative to the post in the opposing direction.

  • Patent number: 11513536
Abstract: A drone may receive power from mobile base station equipment via an air-to-ground power feed during flight, which allows the drone to remain in flight for longer periods of time than relying on battery power alone. The air-to-ground power feed may be included in a tether that includes multiple air-to-ground power feeds or communication feeds. In some cases, the drone is powered by an on-board power system during takeoff and landing sequences to avoid damage to the tether or the drone and/or signal interference within the tether. In some cases, the drone may follow flight patterns during takeoff and landing sequences to avoid damage to the tether or the drone and/or signal interference within the tether.

  • Patent number: 11102665
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for identifying and mitigating a voltage loss in a power transmission to a Remote Radio Unit (RRU) associated with Radio Frequency (RF) antennas of a telecommunications network. More particularly, a Supplemental Voltage (SV) controller is described that is configured to monitor and detect a change in voltage that occurs during a power transmission from a primary Direct Current (DC) power source to the RRU and selectively cause a supplemental DC power source to transmit a supplemental voltage to the RF antennas. The SV controller may cause a supplemental DC power source to transmit a supplemental voltage to the RRU based on an empirical data analysis, sensory data analysis, or current environmental metadata. Further, the SV controller may determine whether the primary DC power source has suddenly ceased transmitting power to the RRU, and in doing so, cease transmission of a supplemental voltage to the RRU.

  • Patent number: 11082917
Abstract: A system, apparatus, method, and manufacture for generating backup power in a wireless communications system such as a wireless communications service base station. The system includes a communications interface, a primary power interface, a generator, rectifiers, and a battery circuit. During normal operation, the communications interface is powered from the primary power interface. During a power outage, the communications interface is powered from either the generator or the battery circuit. The generator is cycled on and off during power outages to charge the battery circuit while conserving fuel. To decrease rectification loss, rectifiers are run near full load while rectifying the generator output.

  • Patent number: 10868471
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques to identify and mitigate an effect of a power interruption that impacts the operation of Radio Frequency (RF) antennas associated with a telecommunications network. More specifically, an Adaptive Voltage Modification (AVM) controller is described that is configured to monitor and detect a change in voltage that occurs during a power transmission from a Direct Current (DC) power source to a Remote Radio Unit (RRU). A power interruption may include a power disruption or a power surge. The AVM controller may be configured to cause a potential transformer that is coupled between the DC power source and the RRU to incrementally step-up or step-down the voltage of a power transmission from the DC power source. In this way, the AVM controller may preemptively mitigate an impact of a power interruption on Quality of Service (QoS) parameters associated with signal data transmitted by the RF antennas.
