  • Patent number: 6825860
Abstract: A technique is provided for generating, resizing and rescaling an image. The image may be of a physical system, and may be based upon data collected from components via a data network. Elements in the image are associated into logical groups. The image is displayed in a display area, the dimensions of which may be changed by a user. Upon a change in a first dimension of the display area, the image is rescaled so as to maintain an original aspect ratio of the image. Resizing of the display area in a second direction does not rescale the image, but changes the number of logical groups displayed.

  • Patent number: 6758104
Abstract: In one embodiment, a sight tube flowmeter is formed of a plurality of fluoropolymer components welded together to form a unitary flowmeter body. The components can comprise a PFA upright sight tube having two end portions, a flow conduit extending therethrough and two fitting portions that are uniquely welded onto each end of the sight tube, and a fluoropolymer float device movable to various positions within the flow conduit depending on the flow level of the fluid flowing therethrough. The float device can be of conventional design or for those flowmeter embodiments where low fluid flow rates are to be measured, an elongate float can be utilized. The floats and, in particular, a designated portion thereof, are visible through the sight tube to provide visual indication of the position, and thus the flow rate of fluid flowing through the flowmeter. In addition, alternative embodiments include the implementation of the unique sight tube and elongate float design in conventional flowmeters.

  • Patent number: 6233671
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for staggering execution of an instruction. According to one embodiment of the invention, a single macro instruction is received wherein the single macro instruction specifies at least two logical registers and wherein the two logical registers respectively store a first and second packed data operands having corresponding data elements. An operation specified by the single macro instruction is then performed independently on a first and second plurality of the corresponding data elements from said first and second packed data operands at different times using the same circuit to independently generate a first and second plurality of resulting data elements. The first and second plurality of resulting data elements are stored in a single logical register as a third packed data operand.
