  • Patent number: 11413449
Abstract: This invention provides an device for electrical stimulation of the spinal cord. The device has an electrode assembly with a sufficiently thin profile to be implanted between the pial surface of the spinal cord and the dura mater, and secured to the dura. Electrodes on the electrode assembly are directed towards the surface of the spinal cord, and connected through the dura to a signal generator located outside the dura. Following implantation, the subject is treated by transmitting electrical signals from the signal generator through the leads to the electrodes, stimulating the subject's spinal cord.

  • Publication number: 20220164469
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing erasure requests are provided, namely requests from users to have their user data erased from a system. The system maintains user data in multiple components which may not be in communication with each other. With the provided system, certain entities, referred to herein as erasure control entities, are informed of details of received erasure requests, and are given the opportunity to provide input on whether they should be executed or note. For example, one erasure control entity, such as a credit card server, may not want an erasure request executed for a user with a large outstanding debt, while another erasure control entity, such as a legal component, may be unaware of this and may not be concerned with the erasure request being executed. The system and method ensure that erasure requests are not executed in situations that are premature or inappropriate.

  • Patent number: 11314635
Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques for tracking usage of a storage-class memory. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a first statistics update entry and a second statistics update entry by a memory controller for a memory, and assembling the statistics update entries into a statistics log entry. The first statistics update entry indicates a number of operations performed on a first memory block in the memory, and the second statistics update entry indicates a number of operations performed on a second memory block in the memory. The method also includes determining a persistent memory region in a persistent memory for storing the statistics log entry, and writing the statistics log entry into the persistent memory region, where the statistics log entry persists in the persistent memory region until the statistics log entry is read back through the memory controller.

  • Patent number: 11292645
Abstract: A removable spout seal and pour spout assembly is presented. The removeable spout seal generally comprises a cylindrical attachment member attached to a flange with a channel extending distally perpendicular therefrom. The removeable spout seal is coupled to a pour spout to form the pour spout assembly. In use, the removeable spout seal attaches to the connection member of a pour spout to provide a seal that prevents leaking of liquids from a vessel. The vent tube of the pour spout is inserted into the channel of the spout seal apparatus and the cylindrical attachment member of the spout seal is inserted into the connection member of the pour spout to form a leakproof seal. Use of the spout seal allows shipping a vessel with the pour spout in place thus preventing leaking during shipping; prevents contamination of contents; preserves freshness of contents; and prevents accidental spills and leaking.

  • Publication number: 20220099671
Abstract: The present invention relates to moving microorganisms to a surface, where they are grown in the presence and absence of antimicrobials, and by monitoring the growth of the microorganisms over time in the two conditions, their susceptibility to the antimicrobials can be determined. The microorganisms can be moved to the surface through electrophoresis, centrifugation or filtration. When the movement involves electrophoresis, the presence of oxidizing and reducing reagents lowers the voltage at which electrophoretic force can be generated and allows a broader range of means by which the target can be detected. Monitoring can comprise optical detection, and most conveniently includes the detection of individual microorganisms. The microorganisms can be stained in order to give information about their response to antimicrobials.

  • Publication number: 20220081859
Abstract: A device for storing articles on a tool, such as a gripper tool, allowing for subsequent use of the gripper without having to first discard or remotely store the article(s). The device may consist of a storage container, tubular support member, sealer/compactor, and ejector. The arm of a tool moves axially inside the inner diameter of the tubular member. The same tubular member allows for the container to slide axially on the outer diameter. The container and gripper tool's relative motion enables gripped articles to be moved into and out of the container thru the containers compliant pass-thru end. The seal/compactor is attached to the gripper side of the tool and manipulates the article for compaction within the container and seals the container pass-thru end to prevent loss of articles. The same relative motion of the container and the tubular member allows for the ejector to push articles through the pass-thru end, and out of the container.

  • Publication number: 20220076223
Abstract: A method is provided. A session is established with a server by a user, which included generating a symmetric session key, encrypting the symmetric session key with the server's public key to generate an encrypted session key, and transmitting the encrypted session key to the server. A user's physical characteristics are measured, and the user's physical characteristics are formatted into a transmission message. The transmission message is encrypted to generate an encrypted transmission message with the symmetric session key. The encrypted transmission message is transmitted to the server. A receive message is received from the server. The receive message is decrypted with the symmetric session key into a decrypted message, and the decrypted message is formatted into ordered bat data. The ordered bat data is then displayed.

  • Patent number: 11192105
Abstract: An analysis system may perform operations on an analyte that may be combined with multiple regents prior to being introduced into a flow cell. The instrument may include a volume into which the reagents to be combined with the analyte are aspirated one-by-one. The volume may be formed as a serpentine channel in a valve manifold associated with sippers for aspirating the reagents. The reagents may then be mixed by cycling a pump to move the reagents within the mixing volume or channel. For this, the reagents may be aspirated from a recipient into the volume or channel, ejected back into the recipient, and this process may be performed repeatedly to enhance mixing.
