Abstract: A system and method for mapping and transforming communication stream messages to email messages are described. A communication stream message is communicated to a mapping engine which extracts elements of the communication stream message, maps and transforms the extracted elements of the communication stream message to an email message to be presented via an email system.

Abstract: A method for receiving a backoff value at a wireless station is presented. A traffic indication map is received at the station, wherein a backoff number is implicitly assigned to the station based on a position of the station within the traffic indication map. The backoff value is determined by multiplying the backoff number by a predetermined time value.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for transmission and reception of a Greenfield preamble are provided. In the method and apparatus, the Greenfield preamble may be a single user (SU) preamble or a multi user (MU) preamble. As an MU preamble, the Greenfield preamble includes a short training field (STF), a first long training field (LTF), a first signal (SIG) field, at least one additional LTF, and a second SIG field. Additionally, the Greenfield preamble may be utilized for efficient transmission and reception of control information to wireless devices, whereby the control information may be indicated using the STF, the first LTF, or the first or second SIG fields.

Abstract: A method performed by a STA may comprise receiving a frame, from a first AP including an indication of a configuration change counter (CCC) associated with a second AP. The CCC may be an unsigned integer that increments when an update to one or more AP parameters of the second AP has occurred. The method may further comprise establishing a first wireless link with the first AP and establishing a master key via at least the first wireless link.

Abstract: A method and system for providing a communication stream for associating messages are described. A communication stream receives various message types including messages, posts, events, tasks, and comments, and presents them to users. Private messages relating to one or more messages may be sent between and among one or more users.

Abstract: A method performed by STA may comprise receiving, from a first AP, a first beacon frame comprising a first relay information element including a first field that indicates whether a root AP BSSID field is included in the first relay information element, determining that a first root AP BSSID field is included in the first relay information element and determining that the first AP is a relay AP of a root AP identified by the first root AP BSSID field. The method may further comprise receiving, from a second AP, a second beacon frame comprising a second relay information element including a second field that indicates whether a root AP BSSID is included in the second relay information element and determining that a root AP BSSID field is not included in the second information element and determining that the second AP is a root AP.

Abstract: A method and apparatus may be used in wireless communications. The apparatus may be an access point (AP), and may transmit a power save frame. The power save frame may include one or more Uplink (UL) Transmission Times (ULT)s. The apparatus may determine that a station (STA) did not transmit during its respective ULT. The AP may transmit another power save frame. The other power save frame may include a modified ULT. The modified ULT may be for a STA that did not transmit during its respective ULT. The other power save frame may include an unmodified ULT. The unmodified ULT may be for a STA that did not transmit.

Abstract: An administrator can use an administrative-wireless-device to control a target wireless device using an SMS message to convey a command. The data of the command message can be encrypted to prevent malicious attacks. The encrypted data may include a universal device identifier unique to the target device, the phone number of the administrative-wireless-device, and a time stamp memorializing command or message creation. Before executing the command, however, the target device compares the phone number of the administrative-wireless-device with the number identified with the incoming SMS message to authenticate the administrative-wireless-device.

Abstract: A wireless station comprises a receiver that is configured to receive a frame from an access point (AP). The frame comprises a physical layer header. The physical layer header includes an indication of a color associated with the AP. A processor in the STA is configured to enter a power save state based on the color associated with the AP not matching a stored AP color of an AP that the STA is associated with. An AP that performs a similar function is also disclosed.

Abstract: A messaging system supports a presentation session with participants of the presentation, a presenter and one or more audience members. The message system allows the participants to share messages and documents via respective client/mobile devices. An application on each mobile device allows the audience member to peruse and comment on document portions (e.g., pages, images, or slides) being presented. The presentation sequence for the document portions can be managed by the presenter, or document perusal can be decoupled from the presentation sequence to allow audience members to focus on past or future document portions. Comments of the audience member or other participants can be linked to corresponding document portions. A user may repeat, reprise or continue a past presentation.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for enhancements in email communication. In some embodiments, address-context information of an email message is rendered to aid the user in various user interface scenarios. These scenarios include user interfaces for a Reply All command and a Send command. The activation of the Reply All command in some embodiments is enabled with a predefined gesture on the user interface that is different from a gesture or gestures used for other commands such as the Reply command. The gesture required for the activation of the Send command can be changed based on the command that was activated to create the email message to be sent.

The short beacons may also be used for Fast Initial Link Setup (FILS) and to extend system coverage range. Beacon transmissions may use adaptive modulation and coding set/scheme (MCS).

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for enabling communications in a wireless local area network (WLAN). A wireless transmit and receive unit (WTRU) may receive, from an access point (AP), a management frame comprising capability information. The capability information may comprise an indication of support for reception via non-contiguous channels. The WTRU may transmit, on a condition that reception via non-contiguous channels is supported, at least one data packet, to the AP, via multiple non-contiguous channels. The multiple non-contiguous channels may be used simultaneously.

Abstract: A method and apparatus may be used for assigning groups of stations in wireless communications to one or more groups. Groups may be assigned by an access point (AP) based on information received from a station (STA). Group information may be signaled to each station and a group identifier may be indicated in a frame. The group information may be applied to a performance enhancement, for example power savings for the station, wherein the station enters a power saving mode on a condition that the station determines that it is not a member of the group.

Abstract: A system and method for creating a document in a messaging environment is described. A communication including a document specification including zero or more formatting commands and content is received from a sender and processed. The system and method determine whether the document specification is in a done condition, and iterates until done. A formatted document is also created and returned to the sender and recipients.
