  • Patent number: 6842108
Abstract: A power supply integrated circuit is provided which makes it possible to make an on-vehicle apparatus compact and to allow power supply cable communication having resistance to noise. The power supply integrated circuit is connected to a micro-controller incorporated in an ECU and a power supply cable. The power supply integrated circuit has an LPF and a regulator. The power supply integrated circuit also has an interface circuit, a BPF, a transmitting section, and a receiving section. • Publication number: 20040083043
Abstract: An integrated vehicle control system includes various functionalized networks, such as power train group, vehicle motion group, and power source group, each including a plurality of ECUs connected via an individual communication line. A managing ECU in each network determines operation directives to be supplied to individual ECUs belonging to its own network based on information obtained from these individual ECUs as well as information obtained from other ECUs of different networks via a host communication line L4. The determined operation directives are transmitted to corresponding ECUs to cause respective individual ECUs to operate subordinately according to the given operation directives, thereby realizing a collective control of specific functions. The managing ECU also executes abnormality detection processing for detecting abnormality occurring in the integrated vehicle control system.

  • Publication number: 20040083044
Abstract: A vehicle LAN is formed of networks of ECUs with each network controlling a specific basic system of the vehicle such as the power train, and each network including a supervisory ECU with the supervisory ECUs able to mutually communicate via a high-level communication line. Each supervisory ECU coordinates the control operations of its own network, based on status information from that network and on control requests transmitted from other networks, so that only small amounts of data need be transferred within the system.

  • Patent number: 6726954
Abstract: In a method and a system for forming a copper thin film in which a raw material gas is introduced into a substrate processing chamber storing a substrate and being under a reduced pressure to form a copper thin film on the substrate, an addition gas is introduced into the substrate processing chamber in addition to the raw material gas at the initial stage of deposition. Thereafter, the introduction of the addition gas is stopped, while the introduction of the raw material gas is continued. Alternatively, an addition gas is introduced into the substrate processing chamber before the start of the deposition process, and the addition gas is introduced into the substrate processing chamber in addition to the raw material gas at the initial stage of deposition. Thereafter, the introduction of the addition gas is stopped, while the introduction of the raw material gas is continued.

  • Patent number: 6694235
Abstract: A gateway ECU identifies a requested ECU from a plurality of ECUs through a LAN based on an access request of an external device for requesting access to the requested ECU and determines whether the external device has been authorized to access the ECUs based on first authentication information of the external device. Furthermore, the gateway ECU determines whether a trouble of the vehicle currently exists based on data transmitted from each ECU through the LAN. If the trouble exists, the gateway identifies a failed part, which causes the current trouble in the vehicle, based on information transmitted from each corresponding ECU by executing a detection and diagnostic program obtained from a customer server.

  • Publication number: 20030167112
Abstract: A vehicle agent system controls operation of relevant in-vehicle devices as execution of a practical response for acting for a driver. When a command is inputted by the driver or a notification is inputted from an in-vehicle network, an assumed response is selected from driver information stored in a RAM, based on the command or the notification. The selected assumed response including parameters is presented to the driver. When the driver inputs a command for permitting the selected assumed response or the driver inputs no command for a predetermined period, the selected assumed response is determined to be the practice response. When the driver inputs modification, the selected assumed response is modified into the practical response.

  • Patent number: 4949083
Abstract: A communication system includes a plurality of separate transmission units. A common signal line connects the units. A token is transferred from a first of the units to a second of the units during one sequence. The token is a right to output data to the common signal line. When the token is rejected by the second unit, the token is retransferred from the first unit at maximum a predetermined number of times during that sequence to the second unit. When the retransferred token is rejected by the second unit, the token may be transferred from the first unit to a third of the units during that sequence. In a next sequence, said predetermined maximum number of times said token is retransmitted to said second unit is then reduced.

  • Patent number: 4894781
Abstract: A plurality of control units are connected via a common signal line through which they communicate. Each control unit is operative to control an apparatus according to certain information the control unit normally receives directly through an exclusive signal line by operation of a directly-inputting device. A check is made to determine whether the directly-inputting device is operating normally. If not, then the required information is inputted from its source indirectly through another control unit by way of the common signal line.

  • Patent number: 4864568
Abstract: Control units are mutually connected by separate common signal lines. A data link is provided between the control units via a preselected one of the common signal lines. A check is made as to whether the preselected common signal line is operating normally or abnormally. When the preselected common signal line is operating abnormally, the preselected common signal line is replaced by another common signal line in the data link.

  • Patent number: 4843557
Abstract: A plurality of control systems mounted on a vehicle such as an automobile, and provided for different controlled objects are respectively made of control computers. These control computers are linked by a common data bus. These computers exclusively execute, for example, an engine control, a transmission control, a brake control, a suspension control, and a auto drive control. The data bus is further connected to a diagnosis computer. Each control computer detects a signal from the sensor provided corresponding to each controlled object, and outputs the detect signal to the data bus. Each control computer executes the logical operation for its control on the basis of its detect signal and various data transferred to the data bus. The diagnosis computer supervises an operating state of each control system on the basis of the data transferred to the data bus. When an abnormality is detected, the diagnosis computer stores this data in a large-capacity memory, and displays the abnormality.

  • Patent number: 4835671
Abstract: A communication control unit for controlling communication between an electronic control unit and other equipment or other electronic control units, the communication control unit functioning to judge whether or not the operation of the electronic control unit is normal and, if it is judged that the electronic control unit is operating abnormally, the communication control unit acts to reset the electronic control unit to an initial operating status in order to attempt recovery from the abnormal condition, while halting transmission by the electronic control unit until it is judged that the electronic control unit has commenced to operate normally.

  • Patent number: 4825362
Abstract: A data network system for a vehicle having a plurality of separate and distinct control computers carrying out a predetermined control function of the vehicle and a data communication line for communicating data among the control computers. One of the control computers determines the number of the other computers which are linked with the data communication line, and in response to that number a data transfer rate output from each of the control computers to the data communication line is determined.

  • Patent number: 4800499
Abstract: A rotation signal Ne is generated for every 1.degree. of rotation of the engine crankshaft together with a crankshaft angle signal G for every 360.degree. of crankshaft rotation. In response to each rotation signal Ne, a pseudo random number generator generates random number data which is converted to analog data by a D/A converter and supplied to a comparator circuit. An intake air pressure detection data Pim is also supplied to the comparator circuit and the two signals are compared. When the detection data Pim is larger than the converted analog data, the comparator output level is high. The output from the comparator is read for every rotation signal Ne and, when the detection data is larger than the analog data from the D/A converter, a counter is incremented. The count value is read for every generation of the crankshaft signal G and is supplied to the engine control unit as the intake air pressure detection data. The counter is then reset to the initial count value.

  • Patent number: 4760275
Abstract: Sensors detect parameters. Control units control vehicle equipments in accordance with the detected parameters. In each of the control units, at least one of the detected parameters and internally produced data is converted into serial data as communication data, and serial data is converted into other form data. A transmission medium connects the control units via a serial data link. Serial interfaces are associated with the control units respectively. Each of the serial interfaces includes a connection terminal connected to the transmission medium, an input terminal and an output terminal both connected to the associated control unit. Each of the serial interfaces inputs serial data from the associated control unit via its input terminal and outputs the inputted data to the transmission medium via its connection terminal.
