  • Patent number: 4495527
Abstract: A video system includes a video camera for obtaining image signals, and a video recorder for recording the image signals. Driving power provided in the recorder, for loading a tape over a recording drum, is transmitted to the video camera after the tape is fully loaded on the drum. Movable parts in the video camera such as an automatic focus adjusting mechanism, can then be driven by the driving power source in the recorder.

  • Patent number: 4229091
Abstract: A motor wind up device which is automatically stopped after completion of photography of a roll of film in a camera. A control circuit of the motor controlling the wind up operation is changed over from a stop state to a wind up state by means of a signal produced when the shutter has run. When the motor is once stopped when over-torque is detected at the termination of the film to carry out the release operation, no shutter operation signal is produced because the shutter has not yet been completely wound up so that the motor will not run. When the film is terminated at the beginning of wind up operation, the device prevents the production of a false shutter operation completion signal even if the shutter does not run.

  • Patent number: 4176936
Abstract: A motor drive unit adapted for use with a camera having a motorized shutter speed adjusting device. When a continuous series of frame exposures are to be made at a predetermined frame frequency, the set value of shutter time in the camera is made to be compared with the longest possible shutter time dependent upon that frame frequency by a comparator provided in the motor drive unit. When the actual shutter time value exceeds the longest possible one, the motorized shutter speed adjusting device is actuated, causing the shutter time value to change itself to the longest possible value.

  • Patent number: 4135801
Abstract: In a photographic camera for use with a single-reel magazine wherein the film after withdrawn by a film advancing sprocket for exposure purposes has to be transported backwards to the magazine while the sprocket being idle, a mechanism for releasing the sprocket from braking engagement with a drive member therefor is provided with two control or rewinding buttons arranged to be manually actuable from the outside of the camera housing at respective places, one of which is located in a recess of the bottom panel thereof so that, for example, when a motor drive unit is attached thereto, an automatic responding relationship is established therebetween, and another place which is located so that, while the user is unabled to make use of the first-named rewinding button, as, for example, a tripod remains left in attachment with the camera at its bottom panel, it is made possible to switch the camera from the film winding to the rewinding state.

  • Patent number: 4054888
Abstract: A motor driven photographing control circuit for a double preference type automatic exposure control camera which is used for continuous photographing with a motor drive device attached thereto. When a sum of the shutter time computed by a shutter time computing circuit and the length of time required for a winding operation become longer than a preset photographing cycle in carrying out such continuous photographing, an alarm is displayed giving a warning that photographing in the preset cycle is not possible. Concurrently with this, a stop preference mode of photographing is shifted to a shutter preference mode and the shutter is controlled to be operated at a preset length of time, so that continuous photographing can be accomplished in a set cycle.

  • Patent number: 4034388
Abstract: In a roll film camera combined with a long length film magazine detachably mounted on the rear of the camera body, a film contained in the supply spool in the magazine is pulled past an exposure aperture by an intermittent-drive film advancing sprocket, while the take up spool in the magazine is driven by a separate driving means through a slip clutch to take up the film advanced from the sprocket. In one embodiment, this arrangement is provided with a film guiding means having buffering and braking functions mounted in the magazine and positioned between the sprocket and the take up spool so that when the sprocket is stopped while the separate driving means is driving the take up spool, the film is brought into frictional engagement with the surface of the film guiding means, whereby the film is braked and stabilized from residual movement during exposure.
