  • Patent number: 7631200
Abstract: A host apparatus that adjusts consumption of a device in accordance with the power supply capability of the host apparatus. The host apparatus includes a plurality of communication ports and devices connected to each communication port. A host controller of the host apparatus communicates with the devices to acquire equipment information including the consumption current of each device. A current supply circuit supplies current to the devices connected to the communication ports. • Patent number: 7085085
Abstract: A first delay circuit receives a sampling clock obtained by multiplying detected frequency of reference clock patterns and outputs delay clocks from first delay stages, respectively. Recording frequency of the sampling clock is not obtained using the reference clock patterns but obtained using received addresses. A disk driving apparatus obtains the number of the first delay stages to be used which correspond to one cycle of the obtained recording frequency and necessary for phase adjustment of the sampling clock, and disables not-used first delay stages. Any of the delay clocks is selected and at least one of regenerating operation to read data from a disk media and recording operation to write data thereto is executed in synchronization with the selected delay clock. Consequently, the number of delay stages to be disabled can be obtained with simple control, reducing power consumption of circuits for adjusting phases of the sampling clocks.

  • Publication number: 20050284715
Abstract: A hydraulic shock absorber in which a sliding member in a location far from an opening portion of an external cylinder is fixed on an inner peripheral surface of the external cylinder with extremely simple structure is provided. A sliding member fittingly fixed in the location far from the opening portion is formed in a ring shape at a parting line gap angle of 15° to 25°, and is deformed to reduce the parting line gap angle during press-fitting operation into the external cylinder so as to be fitted and assembled in a fitting recess formed on an external cylinder inner peripheral surface in the location far from the opening portion. Accordingly, a space of the opening is formed relatively wide and thus, it is possible to press-fit the sliding member in the location far from the opening portion by sufficiently deforming the sliding member.

  • Publication number: 20050249964
Abstract: A multilayer sliding member is provided that contains no lead but has superior friction and abrasion properties under the conditions of high PV values and can be used suitably in dry lubrication environments. The multilayer sliding member includes: a porous metal layer that is formed on a back metal; and a sliding layer that is formed by impregnating and coating the porous metal layer, wherein the sliding layer includes 1 to 25% by volume of an oxybenzoyl polyester resin, 1 to 15% by volume of a phosphate, 1 to 20% by volume of barium sulfate, and polytetrafluoroethylene resin. The oxybenzoyl polyester resin (POB) improves the strength and abrasion resistance of the sliding material, and the synergistic effect of the phosphate and barium sulfate facilitates the transfer of PTFE to a counter material during sliding, so that the coefficient of friction can be decreased and the abrasion resistance can be improved.

  • Patent number: 6905246
Abstract: There is provided a double-sided sliding thrust bearing of a plate shape adapted to be in sliding contact with a counterpart on each of both faces of the thrust bearing, comprising a bearing structure provided with a plate-shaped base member having an anchor effect on each of both faces thereof, and a sliding layer having a thickness not less than 30 ?m on each of the faces of said base member which sliding layer is made of a thermosetting resin-containing material. By making the thickness of the sliding layer 10 not less than 30 ?m, it becomes possible for the thrust bearing 1 to slide shoes for a longer time even when being used in a dry state and the sliding layer 10 comes to be hardly peeled off from the base member 2 because of the anchor effect of the base member 2. Further, the mechanical strength and thermal conductivity of the thrust bearing 1 can be improved by the base member 2 located between the sliding layers 10.

  • Patent number: 6890594
Abstract: The invention provides a method of processing an inner surface of a bearing having a cylindrical shape which bearing includes a resin layer composed mainly of a synthetic resin as the inner surface, the method improving roughness of the inner surface and dimensional accuracy of an inner diameter of the bearing without cutting the inner surface. According to the method, the bearing is press-fitted into a jig and then the jig is mounted on a chuck. Next, a mandrel having a cylindrical bar shape is inserted into an inner diameter portion of the bearing and then the mandrel is heated by a heater up to 250° C., for example. The mandrel is expanded due to thermal expansion by the heating so that the inner surface, i.e., a surface of the resin layer is pressed by a press face of a peripheral surface of the mandrel.

  • Patent number: 6882174
Abstract: It is intended to provide a terminal control device and a universal serial bus system capable of achieving stable system operation wherein the termination control device controls termination considering propagation delay time required for bus voltage level to shift to termination voltage when a universal serial bus system is terminated and an erroneous detection due to propagation delay time of voltage level shifting is avoided, accordingly. A pull-up start signal PU is inputted to a mask counter 11, timing operation is conducted in a manner of count operation. As a result of count operation, mask count signals MC are outputted to a comparator 13. Masking-time setting signals SC are inputted to the comparator 13. The mask count signals MC and the masking-time setting signals SC are compared to calculate a predetermined length of masking time that begins with start of pull-up. During this masking time, detection of SE0 state or bus-reset state is masked.
