  • Patent number: 6194533
Abstract: Disclosed is a liner film for bulk container, which comprises a polyethylene (A) prepared by the use of a single site olefin polymerization catalyst such as a metallocene catalyst, said polyethylene (A) having a density of 0.920 to 0.940 g/cm3, MFR of 0.1 to 3.0 g/10 min and a melting point of 115 to 135° C. When the film is heat-sealed, its sealed portion preferably has a tensile strength at break (Ts) of 2.0 to 4.0 kg/15 mm and a tensile elongation at break (EL) of 150 to 600%. The liner film for bulk container has the advantages: the film can be made lightweight by decreasing the film thickness; the film shows such a high heat-sealing strength that the heat-sealed portion is not broken even if no adhesive tape is attached thereto; and a bulk container liner formed from the film can be filled with a content of a higher temperature than the conventional temperature. Also disclosed is a bulk container liner shaping the above film into a bag.

  • Patent number: 5964113
Abstract: A method of producing a resin-coated steel sheet for drawn-and-ironed cans. The resin-coated steel sheet has a steel sheet with a tin-coat on each side and a resin layer of a first crystalline thermoplastic polyester resin on one of the tin-coats and a second non-crystalline thermoplastic polyester resin on the first crystalline thermoplastic polyester resin. The first crystalline thermoplastic polyester resin has an alloying ratio of: 50.ltoreq.alloying ratio<100. The second non-crystalline thermoplastic polyester resin has an alloying ratio of 0<alloying ratio<50. The method includes thermal fusion of a mixture of 95-5 percent by weight of a crystalline polyester resin and 5-95 percent of a non-crystalline polyester resin to produce the first crystalline thermoplastic polyester resin and the second non-crystalline thermoplastic polyester resin.

  • Patent number: 5527622
Abstract: A packaging laminate material comprises a paper substrate and a polyester resin layer provided on at least the innermost surface side of the substrate, wherein the polyester resin comprises dicarboxylic acid units comprising terephthalic acid and adipic acid and dihydroxy compound units comprising ethylene glycol and a second different dihydroxy compound. The polyester may also contain polyfunctional units derived from a polycarboxylic acid having a valence of 3 or more and/or derived from a polyglycol having a valence of 3 or more. The packaging laminate has a high heat-sealing strength, a small decrease in the heat-sealing strength even after the laminate is subjected to a hot water treatment or a hot hydrogen peroxide treatment, and is excellent in scent (odor) retention properties.

  • Patent number: 4740910
Abstract: In this invention, when a service processor must request processing to all of n processors, it supplies a processing request to one of the n processors using a 1:1 inter-processor communication instruction. The processor receiving the request from the service processor then supplies a processing request to the remaining (n-1) processors using a 1:n inter-processor communication instruction. A bus control unit for controlling a system bus has a flag indicating whether or not the 1:1 (or 1:n) inter-processor communication instruction is sent. The service processor and other processors refer to the flag. When the flag is ON, issuance of the 1:1 (or 1:n) inter-processor communication instruction is inhibited to prevent contention between a plurality of requests.
