  • Patent number: 5151021
Abstract: In a fluid compressor, a cylinder is arranged within a sealed casing. A piston having a spiral groove is placed within the cylinder. The piston is made eccentric to the cylinder such that part of the piston is put in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder. The piston and the cylinder are rotated relative to each other. A spiral blade is fitted in the spiral groove. The blade is put in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder, and forming a plurality of working chambers. The blade freely projects from and retreats in the groove. A fluid to be compressed is sucked in the working chambers. The compressed fluid is discharged from a discharge hole portion into the sealed casing. A support mechanism supports the cylinder and one of bearing members for supporting shaft portions of the piston. • Patent number: 5141423
Abstract: A compressor having a cylinder and a cylindrical rotational body housed within the cylinder. A spiral groove is formed in the outer peripheral surface of the rotational body, and a spiral blade is fitted in the groove so as to be freely retreated in and projected from the groove in the radial direction of the rotational body. The cylinder and the rotational body are rotated relative to each other by a drive mechanism. A fluid to be compressed is introduced into working chambers defined by the blade, the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder and the outer peripheral surface of the rotational body. The fluid is first guided into the first working chamber from a gas suction port, and then into the second and subsequent working chambers successively, whereby the fluid is compressed. An oil supply mechanism supplies pressurized oil to an oil supply hole formed in the rotational body.

  • Patent number: 5125805
Abstract: The Oldam-ring of the rotational force transmitting mechanism of a fluid compressor is engaged with the rectangular section formed on the base portion of the main shaft of the rotary rod in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the main shaft to achieve an easy assembling of the Oldam-ring to the rectangular section. If the fluid compressor employs a thrust force canceling system wherein the thrust force acting on the rotary rod from the discharge side toward the suction side of a cylinder is canceled by a counter thrust force, the diameter of the main shaft located at the suction side is increased compared with that of the conventional fluid compressor to increase the counter thrust force acting on the edge surface of the main shaft whereby the thrust force can be effectively canceled.

  • Patent number: 4802827
Abstract: A compressor includes a closed casing having a suction chamber and a discharge chamber. A rotating member is arranged in the casing and has a spiral bore extending along the axis of rotation of the rotating member. The bore has first and second end openings communicating with the suction and discharge chambers, respectively. A spiral internal member is inserted into the bore to rotate relative to the rotating member as the rotating member is rotated by an electric motor section in the casing. In conjunction with an inner surface of the bore, the internal member defines a plurality of closed spaces moving from the first end opening to the second end opening. A fluid in the suction chamber is transported from the first end opening to the second end opening while confined within the spaces, and is then discharged into the discharge chamber. The discharge of the fluid is controlled by a valve mechanism.
