  • Patent number: 4732548
Abstract: An enclosed type compressor comprises a casing, a compressor mechanism including a cylinder and a piston reciprocatable in the cylinder provided in the casing, and an electric motor having an output driving shaft also provided vertically in the casing. A main bearing supporting the output shaft is secured to a frame member made of a steel plate at a plurality of positions on both sides of the output shaft and the cylinder of the compression mechanism is secured to the frame member or to the main bearing at positions between the cylinder side securing position of the main bearing and the output shaft as viewed in a plan view.

  • Patent number: 4667387
Abstract: A value cover of a compressor is manufactured by the following steps. First, a first metal plate, which has depressed portions for defining a muffling chamber and a connecting passage, is prepared. A second metal plate, which has depressed portions for defining a discharge chamber and the muffling chamber, is prepared. Then, the metal plates are joined together to form an integral structure having the discharge chamber, the muffling chamber, and the connecting passage defined by the depressed portions. Thereafter, the integral structure is bent at the portion for the connecting passage so that a predetermined angle is formed between the discharge chamber and the first metal plate forms the inner part of the bent portion and the muffling chamber.

  • Patent number: 4472114
Abstract: An electric compressor including a cylinder having a cylinder chamber and inlet and outlet ports opening into the chamber, a piston capable of reciprocating in the chamber and having a first operative face with a first peripheral edge portion inclined at a given angle, a rotating member capable of rotating in the chamber and having an outer peripheral surface capable of opening and closing the inlet and outlet ports, and a second operative face with a second peripheral edge portion inclined at the given angle and capable of being in sliding contact with the first edge portion, the first and second operative face and the peripheral surface of the chamber defining a compression chamber, pushing device for pushing the piston toward the rotating member, and a motor for rotating the rotating member. The inlet and outlet ports are opened and closed and the piston is reciprocated so that gas is sucked into the compression chamber through the inlet port, compressed, and discharged through the outlet port.
