  • Patent number: 5469230
Abstract: A pair of rimless type spectacles having a flexible lens holding member such as a nylon wire for holding lenses arranged in such a manner that a decoration is fastened to the lens holding member so that the decoration is fastened to the periphery of the lens so as to freely design the spectacles. It is preferable that the position at which the decoration is fastened can be adjusted and the decoration can be changed for another one.

  • Patent number: 5294338
Abstract: Disclosed is a porous polyethylene hollow fiber membrane of large pore diameter which have (a) rectangular pores formed by microfibrils that are oriented in the lengthwise direction of the fibers and joint portions that are composed of stacked lamellae, the pores being contiguous with each other from the inner wall surface to the outer wall surface of the hollow fiber membrane to form a stacked, multicellular structure, (b) an average pore diameter ranging from greater than 2 .mu.m up to 10 .mu.m as measured with a mercury porosimeter, (c) a porosity of 75 to 95%, and (d) an air permeability of not less than 8.times.10.sup.5 l/m.sup.2 .multidot.hr.multidot.0.5 atm. This hollow fiber membrane can be produced by melt-spinning polyethylene, annealing the resulting unstretched hollow fiber under specific conditions, and then cold-stretching and hot-stretching the annealed hollow fiber under specific conditions.

  • Patent number: 4951895
Abstract: A winding tension controlling apparatus controls tensile force to be applied to a tire constituting member spirally wound about a building drum. The apparatus comprises a memory device for storing patterns of tensile forces, a detecting sensor for always detecting winding positions of the tire member and a processing unit for obtaining a tensile force value from a pattern of tensile force received on the basis of the memory device and a detected result from the memory device and outputting the tensile force value as a control signal. The apparatus further comprises a regenerative control device for controlling a DC motor connected to a tension roller to cause the tension roller to rotate at a speed slower by a predetermined value than a running speed of the tire member wound about the building drum and a display device for displaying various informations concerning winding of the tire member.
