  • Publication number: 20160311968
Abstract: Provided is a curable composition capable of giving a lens that has excellent transfer accuracy from a mold and offers heat resistance and optical properties at excellent levels. The curable composition according to the present invention for lens formation contains a cycloaliphatic epoxide (A) represented by Formula (a), a cationic-polymerization initiator (B), and a polysiloxane (C) represented by Formula (c). The curable composition contains the polysiloxane (C) in an amount of 0.01% to 5% by weight based on the total amount of the curable composition. The curable composition according to the present invention for lens formation may further contain a siloxane compound (D) containing two or more epoxy groups per molecule.

  • Patent number: 8507416
Abstract: To provide a water-based lubricant for plastic working excellent in moisture absorption resistance and corrosion resistance, with which degradation in lubricating performances such as lubricity, workability and seizure resistance may not occur even under high-temperature/high humidity environments. A water-based lubricant for plastic working, comprising a resin component containing a copolymer or homopolymer of monomers having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, including at least maleic anhydride (A), an inorganic component (B), and a solid lubricating component (C), wherein maleic anhydride moieties of the resin component (A) are blocked with a nitrogen-containing compound at a blocking ratio of 10 to 80%, and unblocked maleic anhydride moieties are neutralized with an alkaline component at a degree of neutralization of 40 to 100%.

  • Patent number: 6611102
Abstract: The present invention provides a tungsten-halogen light bulb having an arc tube with a seal portion at one end. A filament is provided in the interior of the arc tube, and a basic gas mainly comprising at least either gaseous xenon or gaseous krypton is filled in the arc tube. When V (V) denotes a rated voltage of the tungsten-halogen light bulb, P(MPa) denotes a filling pressure of the basic gas at a room temperature, and Xe vol. % and Kr vol. % respectively denote composition ratios of the gaseous xenon and of the gaseous krypton, the following formulas (1) and (2) are satisfied simultaneously, in which ‘%’ means ‘volume %’. V≧100 (Volt)  (1) P≧0.7+{0.1×(Kr%/(Kr%+Xe%))}  (2) In these formulas, Kr %+Xe %=100(%), 0≦Kr %≦100, and 0≦Xe %≦100. Accordingly, a crack at the seal portion of the arc tube is prevented and the lifetime is improved.

  • Patent number: 4577277
Abstract: A method and apparatus of continuous casting with the use of a mold oscillating system adapted to oscillate a casting mold supported by a oscillating frame, the method including oscillating the mold by applying vibration at a preselected frequency higher than the natural frequency of the oscillating system; and increasing the amplitude of applied oscillation to a value in a range as determined by the ratio of a length of time of a downward movement period of the mold to a time length in which the speed of the mold exceeds the casting speed during the downward period. Preferably the preselected frequency of applied oscillation of the mold is approximately 1.5 times higher than the natural frequency of the oscillating frame.
