  • Publication number: 20210390577
Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for implementing a model for serving exploration traffic are provided. An amount of spend by a content provider to provide content items of the content provider through a content serving platform to client devices of users is determined. A number of exploration impressions of users viewing exploration content items of the content provider over a timespan is determined. A return on exploration impression metric is determined for the content provider based upon a ratio of the amount of spend to the number of exploration impressions. The return on exploration metric is used to rank available exploration content items of content providers for serving exploration traffic.

  • Publication number: 20200273095
Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for generating bid values are provided. A content item and/or a budget associated with the content item may be identified. A target spend data structure associated with the content item may comprise a plurality of target spend values associated with a plurality of sub-periods of time within a first instance of a period of time. A first update target spend value, associated with a second instance of a first sub-period of time, may be generated based upon a first budget factor calculation associated with the first instance of the first sub-period of time and a second budget factor calculation associated with the first instance of the period of time. A first bid value for presenting the first content item at the second instance of the first sub-period of time may be generated based upon the first update target spend value.

  • Publication number: 20200257435
Abstract: Example embodiments of the disclosed technology implement dynamically updating user interface elements. A time-varying event occurring between first and second times and occurring in a first location different than a second location of an electronic device can be identified. A request to display information about the time-varying event can be received at a third time. A determination can be made regarding whether the third time is between the first time and the second time. When the third time is determined to be between the first time and the second time, display of a floating user interface element on the display device can be initiated in response to the request. The floating user interface element displays information related to the time-varying event. For example, at least one current state associated with the time-varying event can be displayed in a current state portion of the floating user interface element.

  • Publication number: 20200159599
Abstract: A distributed computer system is provided. The distributed computer system includes at least one sequencer computing node and at least one matcher computing node. Electronic data messages are sequenced by the sequencer and sent to at least matcher computing node. The matcher computing node receives the electronic data messages and a reference value from an external computing source. New electronic data messages are put into a pending list before they can be acted upon by the matcher. A timer is started based on a comparison of the reference value (or a calculation based thereon) to at least one attribute or value of a new electronic data message. When the timer expires, the electronic data message is moved from the pending list to another list—where it is eligible to be matched against other, contra-side electronic data messages.

  • Patent number: 10496726
Abstract: Methods for managing an interactive system, such as a web site, are disclosed. An interactive system can comprise a plurality of states, and a first structure of the interactive system can be defined by transitional links between those states. Session data can represent user navigation through the states, and a predetermined set of parameters for session data can be defined by the first structure of the interactive system. The method can include accessing a representation of the first structure of the interactive system, and analyzing the session data based on the predetermined set of parameters. A second structure for the interactive system can be determined when the first set of parameters are not met, such that as compared to the first structure, the second structure adds or removes a transitional link directly between the a first state of the interactive system and a second state of the interactive system.

  • Patent number: 10346141
Abstract: A visual development interface may be exposed that allows developers to define, generate, and submit various computing operations for execution by a computing services provider. In some examples, the visual development interface may be employed by developers to define, generate, and submit event-triggered computing functions for execution on the computing services provider's systems. The visual development interface may allow developers to define computing operations based, at least in part, on various nodes that may represent various sub-operations or other functionality associated with a computing operation. The computing service provider may execute the computing operation using a deterministic execution engine that executes the computing operation in an organized, predictable, and reliable manner. In particular, the deterministic execution engine may employ a stage-by-stage node activation process, in which one or more associated nodes are activated in a respective stage.
