  • Patent number: 7107535
Abstract: An invention for customizing a web site by gathering information from a web site visitor's sessions while the user is using the web site. The visitor's session information is compared with expected visitor behavior, based on the present structure of the web site. Using pre-programmed basic comparison rules and computer based mathematical models, matrices are used to represent statistical information about the visitor's sessions on the web site. The statistical information is used to extract visitor behavior which was unexpected (anomalies). Anomalies are grouped into recommendations. These recommendations are used to automatically customize the web site. In the alternative, information is provided to the web site administrator to customize the web site to be more efficient and visitor friendly, maximizing the operation of the Web site and promoting more frequent visits.

  • Publication number: 20040014236
Abstract: Methods and systems to control the temperature of a source of a fixed or permanent magnetic field used in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) by sensing, measuring, or otherwise detecting the differences in the resonant or Larmor frequency, and based on the difference in the resonant or Larmor frequency, changing the temperature of the source of the fixed magnetic field. The temperature change can thus be based on the frequency change and the characteristics of the source (e.g., permanent and/or fixed magnet(s)), including the temperature coefficient of the source.

  • Publication number: 20030206020
Abstract: A Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) probe including a temperature controlled body for providing a sample for NMR measurement such that the temperature controlled body can adapt to the sample temperature to substantially maintain the body temperature. The body encases a conduit that can contain the sample for NMR measurement. In an embodiment, the desired temperature is the operating temperature of the NMR. The body is also in communications with a temperature sensor, a heat exchanger such as a heat exchanger, and a processor that includes instructions for controlling the body temperature.

  • Publication number: 20030115333
Abstract: A method of analysis of the performance of defined visitor tasks at a host's web site. Tasks are defined a sequence of web pages with which the host wishes the visitor to view or interact. The method allows a given task to be provided, compares the desired task to current visitor behavior to determine frequency, manner and completion of the task and analyzes the task-related information for anomalies and trends in the completion, or lack thereof, of the desired tasks.

  • Publication number: 20020089532
Abstract: An invention for displaying patterns of utilization of a resource wherein the resource includes a plurality of correlated or uncorrelated objects. The method consists of providing a number of graphical formats from which a format is selected for display of patterns of utilization. Additionally, a query is submitted regarding a particular utilization of the resource. Along with the selected format and query inputs, the invention receives information regarding utilization of the resource from a system. Once the invention receives the inputs and the utilization information from the system, the invention processes the information to a format that conforms with the inputs. The invention then displays the processed information in the selected graphical format. The invention also allows the selection of a second graphical format from the graphical formats for altering the display to show the processed information in the second selected format.

  • Patent number: 6310480
Abstract: There is disclosed an NMR probe including a body defining an internal chamber. This chamber is adapted for supporting a vacuum and the body is of a non-magnetic material. A conduit extends through the chamber in the body. The conduit has a first portion in communication with second portions, the first portion being intermediate the second portions, with the first and second portions of non-magnetic materials with substantially equal thermal expansion coefficients. An RF coil is positioned along at least a substantial portion of the first conduit portion. It is preferred that this device also include a field or frequency lock unit in the chamber, as well as a getter, to allow for degassing in the chamber to maintain the preferred high pressure vacuum. A method of using this NMR probe for NMR analysis is also disclosed.
