  • Patent number: 9105942
Abstract: The present invention provides a non-aqueous electrolyte solution that can be used as an electrolyte solution of a non-aqueous secondary battery to improve the discharge rate performance of the battery. The non-aqueous electrolyte solution comprises a non-aqueous solvent and a BF3-cyclic ether complex. The BF3-cyclic ether complex content is greater than zero part by mass, but less than 1 part by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the total amount of other electrolyte solution components. Preferable examples of the BF3-cyclic ether complex include BF3-tetrahydropyran complex and BF3-dioxane complex.

  • Patent number: 9038612
Abstract: An exhaust gas recirculation device is provided. The device recirculates, from an exhaust system to an intake system, a part of exhaust gas from a plurality of cylinders of a multi-cylinder engine as EGR gas. The device includes a single EGR pipe extending from the exhaust system toward the intake system, an EGR manifold branching from a downstream end portion of the EGR pipe toward each cylinder, and an EGR valve for adjusting an EGR gas amount. The EGR manifold has one or more common EGR passages having a single pipe portion and branched pipe portions, and one or more independent EGR passages. Each shape of the common and independent EGR passages is set so that a communicating path in the EGR manifold communicating an arbitrary cylinder with a cylinder where combustion is performed subsequently thereto has the same volume for any cylinder combination having the adjacent combustion order.

  • Patent number: 8986896
Abstract: The present invention provides an electrolyte solution including: a solvent composed primarily of a BF3-cyclic ether complex; and a supporting electrolyte. For example, preferred is an electrolyte solution in which the cyclic ether is one or two or more selected from optionally substituted tetrahydrofuran and optionally substituted tetrahydropyran.

  • Publication number: 20140299107
Abstract: An engine body includes a cylinder with a geometrical compression ratio of 15 or higher, and is supplied with fuel containing at least gasoline. When an operating mode of the engine body is in a high load range, a controller (i.e., a PCM 10) drives a fuel injection valve (i.e., an injector) 67 to inject the fuel at a time within a retarded period between a terminal stage of a compression stroke and an initial stage of an expansion stroke in a low speed range. The controller drives the fuel injection valve to inject the fuel in an intake stroke until an intake valve 21 is closed in a high-load high-speed range.

  • Publication number: 20140287324
Abstract: A main object of the present invention is to provide electrolyte-coated cathode active material particles capable of increasing the discharge capacity of an all solid state battery and of enhancing the battery efficiency. In the present invention, the above object is achieved by providing electrolyte-coated cathode active material particles including cathode active material particles, and a sulfide solid electrolyte layer formed on the surface of the cathode active material particles.

  • Patent number: 8838364
Abstract: A control device of a spark-ignition gasoline engine is provided. The control device includes a controller for operating the engine body by controlling at least a fuel injection valve, an ignition plug, and a fuel pressure variable mechanism. Depending on the engine load range, the controller sets the combustion mode to a compression-ignition mode or a spark-ignition mode. In each mode, the controller also controls the fuel pressure, and the timing of fuel injection and ignition. The controller may also performs external EGR control in each mode.

  • Publication number: 20130284146
Abstract: A multi-cylinder gasoline engine is provided. The engine includes an engine body having a plurality of cylinders, an exhaust manifold through which exhaust gas discharged from each of the cylinders of the engine body passes, and a controller for controlling various instruments provided to the engine body and the exhaust manifold. The engine body includes a switch mechanism. The exhaust manifold includes a plurality of independent exhaust passages, a gathering section, a negative pressure generating device, bypass passages, and openable-and-closable flow switch valves. The controller controls the injector, the ignition plug, the switch mechanism, and the flow switch valve so that a CI combustion is performed within a predetermined first operating range and an SI combustion is performed within a second operating range set on a higher engine load side than the first operating range.
