  • Patent number: 9332442
Abstract: A mobile device which is moved within this network can stay connected to the network. The network routes signals from client to client and from the Internet to client using transceivers. The transceivers in the relay can be a software radio and can be software controlled. Streams of bits are transferred from a source to a destination in a wireless network. Portions of these streams of bits can be transferred between these software radios to distribute signals in the network. In addition, servers can be located within the network to provide local and immediate high bandwidth information. As the bandwidth increases, the range of the wireless signal typically decreases. Thus, inserting relays or multiple transceivers can be used to maintain high bandwidth coverage over a large networking range.

  • Publication number: 20150286363
Abstract: Each interesting location on a screen of a portable unit is marked by a transparent flag or marker. Then, when the user scales up (magnifies the image) the map to view one of the locations, transparent arrows are placed on the screen identified with transparent location markers indicating the direction the user needs to move to arrive at the remaining locations marked earlier by markers. Either the portable unit can be moved while the map remains stationary or the device remains stationary while the map is moved by the touch screen. By following each transparent arrow, which constantly calculates the new direction as the view of the map changes, the user arrives at the desired location, often in a shortest distance, without getting lost. Once this location is viewed, the user can then proceed to follow a second transparent arrow corresponding to a second desired location.

  • Publication number: 20150257573
Abstract: Steam heating used with conventional heating techniques achieves a rapid boiling point. An intelligent electronic control system which uses sensors placed at various points in the system to monitor and/or control cooking, interacts with the Internet to determine cooking steps, powers embedded electronics in vessels by RF energy, and adjusts the heating temperatures of the contents of the vessel as a function of time. A stove will provide configurable tubes with a coupling unit at their end to attach various steam wands easily moved into position that provide this steam to vessels placed on a grill. Delicate cooking of comestibles can be achieved by maintaining a controlled temperature or cycling the temperature to maximize cooking without losing significant nutrients of the comestibles. Small coupling holes introduce steam at the bottom surface of a vessel to efficiently cook comestibles. The coupling holes have a radius which stratifies the Young-Laplace equation.

  • Publication number: 20150234838
Abstract: A composite webpage contains several webpages coupled together appearing as a separate image. Demarcation lines are used to isolate the boundaries of the edges of each individual webpage. The demarcation lines form block-like geometry. Each block contains one webpage. As the user moves the portable unit, the background composite webpage slides across the screen of the portable device. To the user, the background composite webpage appears stationary as if the screen of the portable unit is transparent. These features are advantageous to social websites, ease of portable device use, in the visitation of websites and email servers. This has several benefits since now relative distances and angular displacements within the plane between objects that are outside of the range of the screen of the handheld unit can be immediately be located and placed into view on the screen of a portable unit.

  • Publication number: 20150101112
Abstract: Falling causes serious injury to the body and is a leading cause of death in the elderly. An external belt placed over the waist comprises an inertia system and expandable modules. These modules contain packed air bags and can be expanded in size by orders of magnitude using an air tank. The modules are selected by the inertia system that senses the direction of the fall. The selected module is filled with air from the air tank generating a protective mattress which can be used to cushion their fall. Serious injury to the body can be reduced or even prevented. The module instead can contain an expandable support structure to reach the floor and act as a “third leg”. This support structure may be used by the individual to gain control of the individual's balance and stabilize the individual allowing a re-capture of balance and preventing the fall from occurring.

  • Publication number: 20140375788
Abstract: An involuntary action adjusted by the accommodation of the crystalline lens of the eye provides the data to the embedded algorithm to get the new image. Instead of the user performing a voluntary action to control the embedded algorithm, an involuntary action by the user is used to control the embedded algorithm allowing the user to automatically adjust the Plane of Depth (POD) for a Light Field Photograph (LFP) image or an eyeglass image. The adjustment of eyeglass image is used by an accommodation system to control the mechanical system of lenses in an eyeglass to automatically focus the glasses over a range of PODs. In addition, a voluntary far/near button can be used manually to adjust the POD for both the LFP image and the eyeglass adjustment. The variation of the crystalline thickness to adjust the focus of nearby and distant objects is called accommodation.

  • Patent number: 8711004
Abstract: One estimate indicates that rubbernecking and congestion consumes about 4% of this country's fuel. Two approaches are presented to help solve this problem. The first uses shields to block the view of a car accident. Rubbernecking is reduced since the visibility of the car accident is reduced. A second approach uses mobile flat units that can be remotely controlled to enter a roadway that is carrying active traffic. The traffic runs over these units that are being moved until the master processor indicates that the mobile flat units are in position. A post is extended from the flat unit that issues commands to the motorists so the master processor can begin to control and reduce congestion. Both approaches can be used to help decrease fuel waste in the US.
