Publication number: 20130295380Abstract: Hot melt adhesive compositions which have enhanced adhesion to difficult substrates, particularly at refrigerator/freezer temperatures or at elevated temperatures. The inventive compositions require a base polymer comprising at least one metallocene ethylene-containing polymer or at least one non-metallocene, amorphous, propylene containing polymer; a tackifier; an optional wax; and an adhesion promoting additive comprising at least one semi-crystalline polymer having a weight average molecular weight of about 30,000 daltons or less. It has been found that the adhesion promoting additive of this invention enhances the adhesion properties of a hot melt adhesive composition having a metallocene ethylene-containing base polymer or non-metallocene, amorphous, propylene containing base polymer, particularly at elevated temperatures or at low refrigerator and freezer temperatures where other conventional adhesives have been unsuccessful.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 13, 2013Publication date: November 7, 2013Inventors: NATALIE A. MERRILL, THOMAS QUINN, MICHAEL JABLON

Publication number: 20130284225Abstract: A collapsible shelter includes an improved attachment of the roof poles to the legs. A shelter frame has a leg at each corner. Each leg may have an angled top edge or surface. A scissor assembly attaches adjacent legs to each other. An offset link pivotally attaches the roof poles to the legs, adjacent to the top of each leg. The roof poles can be rigidly attached to the offset link. Extension poles are attached to the roof poles with a bungee or similar elastic element.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 27, 2012Publication date: October 31, 2013Applicant: PRO PERFORMANCE SPORTS, L.L.C.Inventors: Allen Holland, Thomas A. Publication number: 20130229034Abstract: A folding canopy chair includes a frame, a seat, a back, and arm rests. An umbrella is secured to the frame and is pivotal between an upright use position extending above the chair and a downward storage position adjacent the frame. The umbrella is pivotal about both a horizontal axis and a vertical axis for selective positioning of the umbrella relative to the chair, so as to shade a person sitting in the chair from the sun. The umbrella may be non-symmetrical, and removably mounted on either the left or right side of the chair.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 16, 2013Publication date: September 5, 2013Applicant: Pro Performance SportsInventor: Thomas A. Publication number: 20120052986Abstract: A ball tee for batting practice has a flexible base. A receiver is attached to the base and may rotate forward relative to the front of the base. A substantially rigid first tube is attached to or inserted into the receiver. A substantially rigid second tube is similarly attached to the first tube. The combined length of the first and second tubes may be adjustable. A flexible ball holder is attached to an upper end of the second tube. A cup may be provide at the top end of the ball holder. The receiver may be positioned closer to the back end of the base than to front end of the base. The base may have a flex section of reduced thickness which allows the receiver to rotate forward when the tee is struck by a bat. The ball tee tends to automatically return to an upright position after being hit by a bat.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 24, 2010Publication date: March 1, 2012Applicant: Pro Performance Sports, L.L.C.Inventor: Thomas A. Quinn

Publication number: 20110264159Abstract: The invention is directed to methods and devices for optimization of biventricular pacing in subjects suffering from heart failure. The invention provides for a method for selection of optimal parameters for permanent pacing, the method comprising: positioning one or more arrays of lead wires in the posterior pericardium of a subject, wherein the arrays are connected to a multiplexing switch, wherein the switch is connected to a computer processor and a biventricular pacemaker, from the computer processor, generating a randomized sequence of: (i) pacing sites (VPS), (ii) right ventricular-left ventricular delays (RLDs), (iii) heart rates (HR); (iv) atrioventricular delays (AVDs), (v) or any combination or permutation thereof; and determining cardiac output in real time, using aortic flow velocity, thereby allowing selection of optimal parameters for permanent pacing.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 4, 2006Publication date: October 27, 2011Applicant: The Trustees of Columbia in the City of New YorkInventors: Henry M. Patent number: 7901212Abstract: A mobile collapsed building simulator for use in training fire fighters and emergency personnel. The simulator comprises a trailer body with an interior partitioned into two vertical levels. A plurality of partitions divide the vertical levels into a navigable path through the trailer body. A plurality of obstacles are configured within navigable path to simulate a collapsed building environment.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 2007Date of Patent: March 8, 2011Assignee: Personal Protection Equipment SpecialistsInventors: Thomas Quinn, Kerry Oswald, Michael Quinn

Publication number: 20100318967Abstract: A system and method for enabling supplementary deployment actions to be performed in conjunction with a deployment of an application version. A deployment manager may download one or more supplementary deployment action (SDA) components to a user application cache. In conjunction with performing deployment actions, SDA components may be invoked from the user application cache or from a global application cache. The SDA components may perform actions specific to the application or version of the application, including actions not preconfigured in the deployment manager. An SDA component may be invoked prior to or after the deployment manager performs deployment actions. If an SDA component fails, SDA components that succeeded may be automatically invoked to roll back their actions. SDA components may be used to perform a first install, an update, a roll back, or an uninstall. SDA components may have the privileges of the application and the user corresponding to the user application cache.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 12, 2009Publication date: December 16, 2010Applicant: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Saurabh Bhatia, Jeffrey S.
