Publication number: 20240140819Abstract: The invention provides a process for preparing molybdenum and tungsten oxyhalide compounds which are useful in the deposition of molybdenum and tungsten containing films on various surfaces of microelectronic devices. In the process of the invention, a molybdenum or tungsten trioxide is heated in either a solid state medium or in a melt-phase reaction comprising a eutectic blend comprising alkaline and/or alkaline earth metal salts. The molybdenum or tungsten oxyhalides thus formed may be isolated as a vapor and crystallized to provide highly pure precursor compounds such as MoO2Cl2.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 4, 2024Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: David M. Ermert, Robert L. Wright, JR., Thomas H. Baum, Bryan C. Hendrix

Publication number: 20240146546Abstract: An asymmetric key cryptographic system is used to generate a cryptographic certificate for authenticating a memory module. This certificate is generated based on information, readable by the authenticator (e.g., host system), from at least one device on the memory module that is not read in order to obtain the certificate. For example, the certificate for authenticating a module may be stored in the nonvolatile memory of a serial presence detect device. The certificate itself, however, is based at least in part on information read from at least one other device on the memory module. Examples of this other device include a registering clock driver, DRAM device(s), and/or data buffer device(s). In an embodiment, the information read from a device (e.g., DRAM) may be based on one or more device fingerprint(s) derived from physical variations that occur naturally, and inevitably, during integrated circuit manufacturing.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 25, 2022Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Scott C. Patent number: 11955165Abstract: A memory system includes dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) components that include interconnected and redundant component data interfaces. The redundant interfaces facilitate memory interconnect topologies that accommodate considerably more DRAM components per memory channel than do traditional memory systems, and thus offer considerably more memory capacity per channel, without concomitant reductions in signaling speeds. Each DRAM component includes multiplexers that allow either of the data interfaces to write data to or read data from a common set of memory banks, and to selectively relay write and read data to and from other components, bypassing the local banks. Delay elements can impose selected read/write delays to align read and write transactions from and to disparate DRAM components.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2021Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Rambus Inc.Inventors: Frederick A. Ware, Ely K. Tsern, John E. Linstadt, Thomas A. Giovannini, Scott C. Best, Kenneth L Wright

Patent number: 11926119Abstract: Disclosed is a dunnage apparatus, including a converting station and a deflector. The converting station converts a line of high-density supply material into low-density dunnage and ejects the dunnage at an exit in an exit trajectory along a path. The deflector is repositionable with respect to the exit between a first position, in which the deflector is interposed in the path to deflect the path of the dunnage from the exit trajectory to a first deflected trajectory, and a second position. The deflector is retained in each position during the ejection of the dunnage.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2021Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: Pregis Innovative Packaging LLCInventors: Thomas D. Patent number: 4807601Abstract: A live display apparatus for setting extension and flexion limits in a continuous passive motion (CPM) system. The CPM system includes a carriage for supporting a patient's limb through a range of reciprocal angular movement, a drive motor for driving the carriage, a carriage state sensor for providing a signal representative of carriage state and a control unit responsive to the carriage state sensor for controlling the drive motor. The live display apparatus includes an operator controlled extension limit select switch which is operatively coupled to the control unit. The select switch causes the carriage to be driven through its range of movement to a desired extension limit when actuated during an extension limit select mode. Data representative of the selected extension limit is stored in extension memory. An extension limit display is responsive to the control unit and provides a visual display indicative of the extension limit selected.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 1985Date of Patent: February 28, 1989Assignee: Empi, Inc.Inventor: Thomas C. Patent number: 4798197Abstract: Safety features for a continuous motion therapy system of the type including a carriage for supporting a patient's limb, a drive unit for driving the carriage through a range of reciprocal angular movement, first and second channel neuromuscular stimulators for applying electrical stimulation to muscles of a patient's limb, and a controller for controlling the drive unit and stimulators. Both stimulator channels must be turned OFF after the controller is powered up before either stimulator channel will operate. The drive unit is enclosed by a cover. When pressure on the cover is sensed, the controller stops and reverses the direction of the carriage. The drive unit includes a drive motor which is coupled to the carriage by a linkage. Limit switches provide limit signals when the linkage reaches predetermined limit positions. In response, the controller stops and reverses direction of the carriage.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 1987Date of Patent: January 17, 1989Assignee: Empi, Inc.Inventors: Robert H. Nippoldt, Gary A. Patent number: 4788433Abstract: An ultraviolet light sensitive emulsion material, which becomes transparent to the user only after the ultraviolet light sensitive emulsion material is exposed to a predetermined amount of ultraviolet light, to expose a colored backing surface to view. In one form of the invention, an ultraviolet light inhibiting material is disposed in covering or blocking relationship relative to the emulsion material arranged in a graduated pattern of varying opacity, for inhibiting passage of ultraviolet light selectively to the ultraviolet light sensitive emulsion material to enable the emulsion to be rendered transparent in a series of graduated indications when the device is exposed to progressively longer periods of time.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 1987Date of Patent: November 29, 1988Assignee: Thomas C.
