  • Publication number: 20210406784
Abstract: A method for determining at least one performance indicator of a multi-modal transport network including the following steps: for each transport mode of the at least one transport mode, determining a current state of the transport mode, simulating a future state, carrying out an evaluation of the at least one performance indicator, determining at least one regulatory action, carrying out a new simulation of a new future state, for the future time, based on the current state, for the current time, carrying out a new evaluation of the at least one performance indicator of the transport mode based on the new future state, comparing the result of the new evaluation and the evaluation, repeating the steps until a result of the comparison indicates an improvement in the at least one performance indicator.

  • Patent number: 10273901
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a cam carrier insert coupled to a cylinder head of an engine. In one example, a system may comprise: a cylinder head with a cam bearing tower; a cam carrier insert positioned in the cylinder head; and a camshaft, the camshaft directly supported by the cam bearing tower and directly supported by the cam carrier insert. By mounting a first portion of the cam shaft to the cam bearing tower and a second portion of the cam shaft on the cam carrier insert, the system may operate deactivatable and non-deactivatable intake or exhaust valves of one or more engine cylinders in the engine. In this way, packaging of engine components within the cylinder head may be improved while promoting better engine performance.

  • Patent number: 9964471
Abstract: A wheel-tracking test device includes a housing, one or more test chambers in the housing, one or more load arm assemblies, and a drive mechanism. Each test chamber is configured to receive and hold one or more asphalt test samples. Each load arm assembly includes a weighted loading arm and a wheel rotatably connected to the loading arm. The drive mechanism is configured to move the load arm assembly from a load position in which the wheel is on a test sample held in the test chamber and a rest position by retracting the loading arm such that the wheel is lifted off the test sample.

  • Publication number: 20170247800
Abstract: A hydrogen and oxygen generator has two end plates, at least two electrode assemblies defining an electrolysis chamber therebetween and being disposed between the two end plates, and at least one fastener connecting the two end plates together. Each electrode assembly has a plate defining an electrode portion having a perimeter and defining inlet and outlet apertures, an inlet insulating grommet disposed in the inlet aperture and covering an edge thereof, an outlet insulating grommet disposed in the outlet aperture and covering an edge thereof, and an insulating band disposed around the electrode portion and covering an edge of the electrode portion defining the perimeter. The insulating bands of the at least two electrode assemblies abut each other. The inlet and outlet apertures of the at least two electrode assemblies fluidly communicate with the electrolysis chamber. An electrode assembly and a hydrogen and oxygen generation system are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050132935
Abstract: An overbed table which includes a generally horizontal upper table member, a base configured for resting on a floor surface and a height adjustable support assembly mounted between the table member and the base. A gas spring is provided interiorly of the height adjustable support assembly and includes a cylinder mounted to a lower frame support member of the height adjustable support assembly and an elongate rod mounted to the upper frame support member of the height adjustable support assembly. The gas spring is configured for non-movement of the elongate rod relative to the cylinder when in a locked condition and for movement of the elongate rod relative to the cylinder only when in an unlocked condition. A lock release mechanism is provided on the elongate rod adjacent a distal end thereof.
