  • Patent number: 11756222
Abstract: A method of feature matching in images captured from camera viewpoints uses the epipolar geometry of the viewpoints to define a geometrically-constrained region in a second image corresponding to a first feature in a first image; comparing the local descriptor of the first feature with local descriptors of features in the second image to determine respective measures of similarity; identifying, from the features located in the geometrically-constrained region, (i) a geometric best match and (ii) a geometric next-best match to the first feature; identifying a global best match to the first feature; performing a first comparison of the measures of similarity for the geometric best match and the global best match; performing a second comparison of the measures of similarity for the geometric best match and the geometric next-best match; and, if thresholds are met, selecting the geometric best match feature in the second image.

  • Patent number: 11609796
Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, and other techniques for managing a computing resource shared by a set of online entities. A system can receive a request from a first online entity to reserve capacity of the computing resource. The system determines a relative priority of the first online entity and identifies a reservation zone that corresponds to the relative priority of the first online entity. The system determines whether to satisfy the request based on comparing (i) an amount of the requested capacity of the computing resource and (ii) an amount of the portion of unused capacity of the computing resource designated by the reservation zone that online entities having relative priorities at or below the relative priority of the first online entity are permitted to reserve.

  • Patent number: 11604119
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a cell harvesting method and device for the efficient sedimentation and retention of cells from liquid samples onto a solid support with low cell losses and low impact on cell morphology. The device has two configurations, one being for use in a centrifuge to centrifuge the sample, a second for controlled release of the liquid post centrifugation. The device includes a base to hold a solid support that receives cells on a top surface thereof that releasably holds a fluid chamber which has a first opening with a gasket surrounding the opening with that bears against a top surface of the support. An opening receives the liquid sample and the gasket defines an area into which the targeted cells deposit. A first cap closes the second opening during centrifugation.
