  • Patent number: 7452497
Abstract: A furnace sidewall structure of a rotary hearth furnace for making direct reduced iron which is agglomerated iron ore or waste iron oxide containing a reducing agent on a rotary hearth by heating or for heating at least one steel piece, wherein the rotary hearth furnace includes an outer furnace sidewall and an inner furnace sidewall, wherein at least one of the outer furnace sidewall and the inner furnace sidewall is polygonal. The furnace sidewall structure can be prepared with lower manufacturing costs relative to conventional circular profile rotary hearth furnace with respect to the furnace sidewall. The production thereof is easy with respect to manufacturing and with respect to the fact that the dimensional accuracy of the manufactured furnace sidewall can be easily adjusted. Also, there is associated a shorter installation/construction work period and a reduction in the installation/construction cost.

  • Publication number: 20080124162
Abstract: An RFID tag information communicating apparatus includes a feeding roller driving shaft that is provided within a housing constituting a shell of an apparatus main body and feeds a base tape, and an antenna for label production and an antenna for information transmission and reception, which are capable of transmitting and receiving information with an RFID circuit element for label production included in a base tape and an RFID circuit element for information transmission and reception located outside the housing. Each of the RFID circuit elements has an IC circuit part that stores information and an antenna that transmits and receives information. The apparatus is configured capable of performing both of the information reading and information writing with the RFID circuit element for label production and the RFID circuit element for information transmission and reception via the antennas.

  • Publication number: 20050041918
Abstract: The present invention provides an optical waveguide which comprises a core 4 for incident light and a core 5 for outgoing light, wherein the width of the core 5 for outgoing light is more than 1.5 times that of the core 4 for incident light. This optical waveguide permits the multiplexing and/or demultiplexing of light rays even when the wavelengths thereof undergo changes within the range of about 10 nm. In addition, the present invention further provides an optical multiplexer-demultiplexer which comprises the combination of an optical waveguide serving as an optical path and a diffraction grating for demultiplexing and focusing light, wherein the absolute value of the difference between the refractive index (nTE) of the core layer of the optical waveguide in the direction parallel to the plane of the film and that (nTM) of the core layer thereof in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the film is not more than 0.007 at the wavelength used.
