  • Publication number: 20230032776
Abstract: Systems and methods for positive dispense verification. In one aspect, a system has a plurality of light emitters. The light from the emitters is directed toward a plurality of light detectors across a proximately horizontal plane. The liquid dispense device is positioned above the horizontal plane of light emission from the plurality of light emitters to the plurality of light detectors such that the dispensed liquid will travel through the horizontal plane defined by the emitted light and onto the container being inoculated. Each of the plurality of detectors is coupled to an amplifier. The amplifier generates a signal in response to an interrupt in the transmission of light from the light emitters to the light detectors when the light path is disrupted by the dispense of liquid confirming the liquid was dispensed onto the container.

  • Patent number: 11556500
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed herein for identifying, recording and restoring the state of a database session and various aspects thereof. A session template data structure is generated that includes session attribute values describing various aspects of the session that is established between a client system and a database management system (DBMS and enables the client system to issue to the DBMS commands for execution. Based on the session attribute values, DBMS may generate a template identifier corresponding to the session template data structure. The template identifier may be stored in an association with the session state that it partially (or in whole) represents. In an embodiment, when another state of a session is captured, if the template identifier for the state is the same, then rather than storing the attribute-value pairs for the other state, the template identifier is further associated with the other state.

  • Patent number: 11451565
Abstract: Techniques are provided herein for contextual embedding of features of operational logs or network traffic for anomaly detection based on sequence prediction. In an embodiment, a computer has a predictive recurrent neural network (RNN) that detects an anomalous network flow. In an embodiment, an RNN contextually transcodes sparse feature vectors that represent log messages into dense feature vectors that may be predictive or used to generate predictive vectors. In an embodiment, graph embedding improves feature embedding of log traces. In an embodiment, a computer detects and feature-encodes independent traces from related log messages. These techniques may detect malicious activity by anomaly analysis of context-aware feature embeddings of network packet flows, log messages, and/or log traces.

  • Patent number: 11409721
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, the system enables access to a sharded database using a cache and a shard topology. A shard-aware client application connecting to a sharded database can use a connection pool (e.g., a Universal Connection Pool, UCP), to store or access connections to different shards or chunks of the sharded database within a shared pool. As new connections are created, a shard topology layer can be built at the database driver layer, which learns and caches shard key ranges to locations of shards. The shard topology layer enables subsequent connection requests from a client application to use a fast key path access to the appropriate shard or chunk.

  • Patent number: 11291986
Abstract: The present disclosure describes pipette tips having an absorbent material (e.g., a flocking material) anchored to a distal end of the pipette tip and related methods of use. In some embodiments, the flocked pipette tips can be used in an automated process and/or system, wherein the contact between the pipette tips and either a sample or a culture medium can be automatically sensed for accurate sample collection and/or dispense. In some embodiments, automatic detection of the liquid interface may be accomplished by detecting a threshold change in capacitance when the pipette tip contacts the sample liquid interface (e.g., for sample collection) or the agar interface (e.g., for sample release). In some embodiments, the automated process and/or system may utilize one or more predetermined, fixed heights for collecting samples and/or depositing samples.
