  • Publication number: 20240066854
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a flexible surface element with at least one thermoplastic, thermosetting and/or elastomeric wear layer is provided. The method includes introducing expandable hollow microspheres into the wear layer and/or a functional layer, applying at least one pressure-resistant layer detachably to the wear layer, and subsequently heating at least one section of the surface element to be treated by a thermal energy supply to a temperature within an expansion temperature range of the hollow microspheres, so that at least the hollow microspheres contained in the section to be treated are at least partially expanded and/or further expanded. Expansion of the hollow microspheres is limited by pressure-resistant properties of the pressure-resistant layer. The method further includes removing the pressure-resistant layer from the wear layer at least sectionally.

  • Publication number: 20230076649
Abstract: A ball retriever assembly for retrieving and storing balls includes a hopper body defining a hollow storage space therein and at least one attachment configured for removable coupling to the hopper body. Each of the attachments includes a retrieval structure configured for unidirectional passage of one of the balls through the corresponding one of the attachments. A lid is configured for removable coupling to the hopper body as well as each of the attachments. The lid is adjustable between a ball retrieval configuration wherein the lid encloses an end of the hollow storage space and a ball removal configuration wherein the lid forms a stand for maintaining an upright and open configuration of the hopper body. The different attachments configured for removable coupling to the hopper body allow for the unidirectional passage of different ranges of outer ball diameters.

  • Patent number: 11244353
Abstract: Inventory data is stored, wherein the inventory data represents for each of a plurality of broadcast stations a corresponding inventory of audio advertising spots available from that broadcast station to be filled by an advertising placement system. An advertising campaign data representing a set of advertising objectives of an advertising campaign is received. The inventory data is used to iteratively select advertising spots to be associated with the advertising campaign, based at least in part on a respective computed fitness of match between each selected advertising spot and said advertising objectives.

  • Patent number: 11238501
Abstract: A selection of a broadcast media ad network and a set of parameters including one or both of a goal and a constraint associated with an advertising campaign is received. Based at least in part on said selection and said set of parameters an advertising proposal, the advertising proposal is determined including an identification of a set of broadcasters associated with the selected broadcast media ad network and for each a corresponding advertising plan portion of the advertising proposal. Information representing the advertising proposal is caused to be displayed at a node from which said selection and set of parameters were received.

  • Patent number: 10753927
Abstract: A method for assaying a sample for each of multiple analytes is described. The method includes contacting an array of spaced-apart test zones with a liquid sample (e.g., whole blood). The test zones disposed within a channel of a microfluidic device. The channel is defined by at least one flexible wall and a second wall which may or may not be flexible. Each test zone comprising a probe compound specific for a respective target analyte. The microfluidic device is compressed to reduce the thickness of the channel, which is the distance between the inner surfaces of the walls within the channel. The presence of each analyte is determined by optically detecting an interaction at each of multiple test zones for which the distance between the inner surfaces at the corresponding location is reduced. The interaction at each test zone is indicative of the presence in the sample of a target analyte.
