Abstract: A disposable pants-type diaper includes a separator interposed between the inner surface of a pants-type skin-covering assembly and the wearer's skin so as to protect the wearer's skin from being soiled with feces. The separator comprises a separator extending from a bottom of a crotch region of the diaper toward a front waist region and a rear waist region and fixed to the crotch region along transversely opposite margins thereof. The separator has a front end and a rear end both extending in a transverse direction of the crotch region and elastically extensible and contractible. In a transversely middle of the crotch region, these front and rear end edges are spaced from the inner surface of the absorbent chassis and joined integrally with each other.

Abstract: The present invention provides a disposable pants-type diaper including on a crotch region thereof a separator adapted to prevent feces from coming in contact with the wearer's skin. A basic structure has the crotch region, which is provided with a folded sheet piece attached thereto so as to form the separator. The folded sheet piece is obtained by folding back the sheet piece along a first transverse center line thereof to define a first half and a second half placed upon each other and bonding end edges of these two halves to each other at responsive middles of these end edges in a transverse direction. With the first transverse center line brought close to a second transverse center line, the folded sheet piece is placed upon the crotch region and the lateral edges of the first half are bonded to the crotch region while a region of the first half defined by the lateral edges is kept to be spaced from the crotch region.

Abstract: A disposable pull-on wearing article has its waist region divided into a front section and a rear section and connector sheets 21 adapted to connect these two sections together. Each of the connector sheets has joint zones to be joined to the front section and the rear section, respectively, and a non-joint zone interposed between the joint zones so as to define a tear-apart line extending in vertical direction along which the article is torn apart. The non-joint zone has a tensile strength of at least 8N in the waist-surrounding direction and a tear strength in a range of 0.1 to 12N also in the waist-surrounding direction.

The folded sheet piece is placed upon a crotch region of a basic structure, with the first center line being brought close to a second center line of the basic structure. Lateral edges of the first half are bonded to the crotch region. The basic structure is folded back along the second center line. The inner surface of the basic structure is bonded to the outer surface of the lateral edges of the second half. Regions of the first and second halves defined between the respective lateral edges are spaced from the crotch region. Front and rear waist regions of the basic structure are bonded along the lateral edges to obtain a pants-shape diaper.

The body fluid absorbent structure comprises a panel of body fluid absorbent material and a liquid-pervious sheet covering a surface of the panel facing the wearer's skin. The diaper is provided with a plurality of crossover members extending across the body fluid absorbent structure and facing the liquid-pervious sheet. The crossover member has its transversely opposite end portions bonded to the diaper in the vicinity of the side edge portions of the body fluid absorbent structure and its intermediate portion defined between the side end portions not bonded to the liquid-pervious sheet.

Abstract: A disposable pull-on wearing article has its waist region divided into a front section and a rear section and connector sheet strips adapted to connect these two sections together. Each of the connector sheet strips has zones to be joined to the front sections and a non-joint zone interposed between the zones to be joined to the front and rear sections and adapted to be easily torn apart in the vertical direction of the article. The front and rear sections respectively have ears lying on the outer side. These ears have respective inner surface releasably joined to each other by a pressure-sensitive adhesive.

Abstract: A manufacturing method of an absorbent article according to the present invention includes the steps of: splitting an elastic member bundle having line-splitting strength within the predetermined range into multiple first elastic members by feeding the elastic member bundle in an MD via a line splitter, the line-splitting strength measured by a predetermined measuring method, applying an adhesive at least on a predetermined curved line on a web continuously conveyed; and placing the multiple elastic members thus split on the web while swinging the elastic members in a CD. The elastic member bundle is formed by splitting a single original elastic member with a slit into the multiple elastic members, and bundling and pressurizing the multiple elastic members.

A second web comprising sheet members continuously arranged in the transverse direction thereof is continuously fed onto the first web wherein each of the sheet members is destined to be attached to the inner surface of the associated chassis in the crotch region thereof and thereby to form a body waste receiving pocket. The second web is folded back onto itself in a cross direction CD and locally bonded to each other along opposite edges thereof at regular pitches each corresponding to a width of the individual chassis to obtain a third web having seal regions.

The first and second zones are pulled inward under contractile forces of the elastic members to form tucks which are convex inwardly of the leg-holes.
