Abstract: A pull-on disposable diaper is composed of front and rear waist covering regions and a crotch covering region and has a body fluid absorbing component extending over the crotch covering region and further extending into the front and rear waist covering regions. In the crotch covering region, the body fluid absorbing component is folded toward a center line A-A and covered with a liquid-pervious cover sheet. The cover sheet extends in the transverse direction of the absorbing component over an inner surface of the absorbing component and further extends to the side of an outer surface of the absorbing component. On the outer surface of the absorbing component, transversely opposite lateral edges of the cover sheet are folded back outward in the transverse direction. The folded-back lateral edges are joined to the inner surface of the sheet defining the crotch covering region.

The elastic members are joined to the sheet while the sheet and the second elastic members are stretched at given extension ratios, respectively, in a transverse direction and the first elastic members is stretched at a given extension ratio in the leg-circumferential direction so that the sheet and the first elastic members may have substantially the same leg-circumferential dimensions after these sheet and first elastic members have been relaxed and the sheet and the second elastic members may have substantially the same transverse dimensions after these sheet and second elastic members have been relaxed. In addition, the waist regions' upper margins and the crotch region's lateral margins are substantially planar.

Abstract: In a process for attaching indicator elements onto a disposable garment, indication sheets with indicator elements and liquid-absorbent cores are fed onto inner and outer surfaces of an outer layer web. A rear half of the front one of the adjacent sheets is placed upon a front end zone of the core and a front half of the rear one of the adjacent sheets is placed upon a rear end zone of the core. The sheet is joined to the outer layer web, the core is joined to the inner and outer layer webs, and the webs are joined together. The sheet is cut together with the webs between the adjacent cores to form laminated panels with indicator elements in front and rear regions.

An outer sheet has having elastic members is placed on and bonded to a surface of the backsheet opposed to its surface bonded to the absorbent structure. The outer sheet has the elastic members intermittently bonded under tension thereto, and is formed in a region thereof facing the absorbent structure with an opening. The elastic members extend laterally under tension from a peripheral edge of the opening beyond the absorbent structure and the first backsheet is exposed through the opening.

Abstract: A pants-type diaper includes a crotch region which is provided on the inner surface in a zone put aside toward a front waist region and in a zone put aside toward a rear waist region with belt-like members, respectively, both extending across a body fluid absorbent structure. Each of the belt-like members has distal ends bonded to leakage barrier means formed along side edges of the body fluid absorbent structure. Intermediate segment extending between the distal ends is free from the inner surface of the crotch region. The belt-like members are integrated with each other only along respective middle segments thereof as viewed in a transverse direction.

Abstract: A disposable pants-type diaper includes a separator interposed between the inner surface of a pants-type skin-covering assembly and the wearer's skin so as to protect the wearer's skin from being soiled with feces. The separator comprises a separator extending from a bottom of a crotch region of the diaper toward a front waist region and a rear waist region and fixed to the crotch region along transversely opposite margins thereof. The separator has a front end and a rear end both extending in a transverse direction of the crotch region and elastically extensible and contractible. In a transversely middle of the crotch region, these front and rear end edges are spaced from the inner surface of the absorbent chassis and joined integrally with each other.

Abstract: The present invention provides a disposable pants-type diaper including on a crotch region thereof a separator adapted to prevent feces from coming in contact with the wearer's skin. A basic structure has the crotch region, which is provided with a folded sheet piece attached thereto so as to form the separator. The folded sheet piece is obtained by folding back the sheet piece along a first transverse center line thereof to define a first half and a second half placed upon each other and bonding end edges of these two halves to each other at responsive middles of these end edges in a transverse direction. With the first transverse center line brought close to a second transverse center line, the folded sheet piece is placed upon the crotch region and the lateral edges of the first half are bonded to the crotch region while a region of the first half defined by the lateral edges is kept to be spaced from the crotch region.

The backsheet is formed by a breathable and hydrophobic first fibrous nonwoven fabric layer underlying the panel, a breathable and liquid-impervious plastic film underlying the first fibrous nonwoven fabric layer and a breathable and hydrophobic second fibrous nonwoven fabric layer underlying the film. In a zone occupied by the panel, the first fibrous nonwoven fabric layer is intermittently joined to an under surface of the panel by means of a hot melt adhesive and the film is intermittently joined to the first fibrous nonwoven fabric layer by means of the hot melt adhesive.
