  • Publication number: 20090231268
Abstract: An electrophoretic display device includes a display unit that is formed so that electrophoretic elements containing electrophoretic particles are held between a pair of substrates. The display unit is formed of a plurality of pixels. Each of the pixels includes a pixel electrode, a pixel switching element, and a latch circuit connected between the pixel electrode and the pixel switching element. A plurality of the pixels located in at least portion of the display unit each are any one of a first pixel and a second pixel. The first pixel satisfies a relationship that the gate capacitance charging time of a P-MOS transistor of a transfer inverter of the latch circuit is shorter than the gate capacitance charging time of a P-MOS transistor of a feedback inverter of the latch circuit, a relationship that the gate capacitance charging time of an N-MOS transistor of the transfer inverter is longer than the gate capacitance charging time of an N-MOS transistor of the feedback inverter, or both the relationships.

  • Publication number: 20080238658
Abstract: There is provided a radio communication system including a first transceiver equipped with an antenna circuit and a transmitting-receiving unit and for transmitting a data signal by an electromagnetic wave, and a second transceiver equipped with an antenna circuit, a transmitting-receiving unit, a memory unit for storing the data signal, a display unit having display memory property, and a power source unit for obtaining an operation voltage for each unit from the electromagnetic wave. The first transceiver relatively varies the transmission output of the data signal to a high level or a low level, and the second transceiver receives the data signal and stores the data signal in the memory unit when the level of the transmission output of the data signal is low, and sends the data signal from the memory unit to the display unit when the level of the transmission output of the data signal is high.

  • Publication number: 20080238899
Abstract: A display system includes: a display device including a display section having a dispersed system containing electrophoretic particles between a first electrode and a second electrode, wherein an electric field is generated between the first electrode and the second electrode according to display data, and the electrophoretic particles are migrated by the electric field so that an image corresponding to the display data is displayed; and a display-data providing device that provides a display control signal containing the display data to the display device; wherein the display system erases the display content of the display section by generating an electric field between the first electrode and the second electrode according to display data corresponding to the display content. The display-data providing device stores display data to be provided to the display device and information corresponding to the display data in association with each other.
