    Abstract: There is provided a synthetic resin bottle in which an amorphous carbon film having good appearance without forming the brown mottled pattern on the surface thereof is deposited. The present invention provides a bottle having a mouth portion, a shoulder portion, a body portion and a bottom portion in which an amorphous carbon film is deposited on the inner surfaces of the mouth portion, the shoulder portion, the body portion and the bottom portion by supplying C2H2 gas. When the height position of the shoulder portion in the direction toward the mouth portion along the bottle axis from the position at which the inner diameter of the shoulder portion is maximal is within the area whose height is not more than 70% the total height of the shoulder portion along the bottle axis, the amorphous carbon film on the shoulder portion within the above range of height position is formed so that the thickness thereof is not less than 0.9 times but not more than 1.

    Abstract: The inventors discovered that the adhesion molecule CAR, known to be localized in intracellular adhesion sites, functioned as an adhesion molecule for activated lymphocytes. Further, the inventors identified CARL, a novel CAR ligand expressed in lymphocytes, and clarified that the ligand was expressed selectively in Th1 cells. In addition, they found that anti-CAR antibodies could inhibit the adhesion of activated lymphocytes to CAR molecules. Thus, the present invention provides methods for detecting Th1 cells using CAR or anti-CARL antibodies, and methods of screening for inhibitors suppressing the adhesion of Th1 cells using the binding between CAR and CARL as an index. Furthermore, the present invention relates to methods of screening for inhibitors of the binding between CAR and CARL, antibodies that inhibit the binding between CAR and CARL, and therapeutic compositions comprising these antibodies.

A protruding portion is formed at a leading end portion of a light-shielding wall, and a concave groove is provided at a leading end portion of a partition wall. The means of fulfilling this object is a polyester resin comprising a major part of ethylene terephthalate units and containing at least one of minor copolymerizable components selected from a group consisting of isophthalic acid, cyclohexane dimethanol, and diethylene glycol, wherein three minor copolymerizable components have total content less than 3 mol. %.

    Abstract: A mouse cDNA library from gene fragments encoding proteins localizing at cell-cell junctions was screened by a technique visualizing localization of a protein to identify a junction-enriched and -associated protein, JEAP. GenBank homology search was performed based on the sequence. Based on the obtained sequence, a mouse cDNA library was screened to identify JEAP-2. By using prepared antibodies against these proteins, it was revealed that these proteins express specifically at tight junctions, in particular, tight junctions in exocrine glands.
