Abstract: A workpiece object is prepared which has a thin film on the surface and made of amorphous material. A pulse laser beam is applied to the thin film, the pulse laser beam having an elongated beam cross section along one direction on the surface of the thin film. With this pulse laser beam, the thin film is melted and thereafter the thin film is solidified to form crystal grains framing chains along a long axis direction of a beam incidence region in first stripe regions. The first stripe regions extend along the long axis direction in regions of the beam incidence region between its center line and borders of the beam incidence region extending along the long axis direction, and are spaced apart from the borders and the center line by a predetermined distance.

  • Publication number: 20060210564
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a diabody-type bispecific antibody, which is characterized by having low immunogenicity and high infiltrating activity into tumor tissues, and by being easily mass-produced at a low cost with use of microorganisms, and by being easily altered in function by means of genetic engineering. The diabody-type bispecific antibody shows a more remarkable effect than the conventional diabody-type bispecific antibodies and chemically synthesized bispecific antibodies even in a very low concentration and in the absence of the super antigen.

  • Publication number: 20060140498
Abstract: An image processing apparatus is provided for enhancing the image processing function without having to increase the circuit scale. The image processing apparatus includes an image divider, a pixel processor, and an image coupler. If the number of horizontal pixels on the width of an input image is larger than a size of a line buffer, the image divider equally divides the input image in the vertical direction so that the resulting divided area is smaller than the number of horizontal pixels on the width of the line buffer. Then, the image divider controls an input data transfer circuit so that the pixel data of the input image may be sequentially transferred to the line buffer for each of the equally divided areas. The image processor sequentially processes the pixel data of the input image temporarily stored in the line buffer and then sends out the output pixel data.

  • Patent number: 5708435
Abstract: A wave absorber comprising a sintered ferrite tile wave absorber as a base substrate lowermost relative to the incident wave, and one or more laminates comprising two layers as one set, with a dielectric layer as a lower layer and a dielectric loss-causing layer as an upper layer, laminated on the base substrate. The wave absorber of the present invention is thin, but is capable of absorbing waves over wide frequency bands of from tens of megahertz to a dozen or so gigahertz. By making the absorber thin, the absorber weighs less and is easy to handle, which in turn leads to fine workability and low construction cost.
