Patent number: 7420594Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes an image sensing unit. After photographing of an image of a face, for example, a characteristic data selection menu is displayed for addition of a characteristic to the face image. The characteristic data selection menu offers a plurality of characteristics expressed by words, for example. A user selects by word(s) a characteristic to be added to the face image. The face image is modified on basis of an image modification pattern corresponding to the selected characteristic data. The image modification pattern data is set with a relative increasing/decreasing value with respect to color data (RGB) of each pixel of the face image. Then, displayed is a final face image which has been modified according to a plurality of image modification patterns corresponding to the plurality of selected characteristic data, for example.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 2005Date of Patent: September 2, 2008Assignee: Nintendo Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yoichi Yamada, Tsutomu Araki

Patent number: 7411612Abstract: A photographed image composing apparatus includes a CPU and an imaging unit. In this photographed image composing apparatus, an operator photographs an object's face in at least two partial images successively while aligning a predetermined region of the face with an imaging index displayed on a display, and boundary processing between partial images is performed and a montage image is produced. In the boundary processing, pixel data adjacent to a boundary line is extracted from a first image on one side of the boundary line and a second image on the other side of the boundary line, as first basic pixel data and second basic pixel data, respectively. Then, the pixel data of the first image and the second image are mixed with the second basic pixel data and the first basic pixel data in a pixel row that corresponds to the relevant pixel, respectively, based on previously stored mixing ratios in accordance with the distance from the boundary line.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 2004Date of Patent: August 12, 2008Assignee: Nintendo Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yoichi Yamada, Takao Sawano, Tsutomu Araki

Publication number: 20080165355Abstract: A high-resolution high-speed terahertz spectrometry for measuring a terahertz frequency spectrum at high speed with a laser mode-locking frequency which is the theoretical limitation frequency resolution of the terahertz time-domain spectroscopy. The mode-locking frequencies of two femtosecond laser light sources are controlled so that they are stabilized at high degree and the difference between the mode-locking frequencies is constant. The output of the laser light sources are used as a pumping light for generating terahertz pulses and a probe pulse light for terahertz detection. Since the time delay timings of the terahertz pulses and the probe pulse light the pulse periods of which are slightly different from each other shift from each other and the difference increases. Therefore, the temporally expanded terahertz pulses are measured by high-speed sampling without using any mechanical stage for time delay scanning.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2005Publication date: July 10, 2008Applicant: Osaka UniversityInventors: Takeshi Yasui, Tsutomu Araki, Eisuke Saneyoshi

Publication number: 20080082212Abstract: While a microcomputer 100A is executing a self-diagnosis (A), second diagnosis pulse output means 110B of a B-system microcomputer 100B is not used utterly. Further, during this time, the B-system microcomputer 100B does not execute a processing relating to at least the self-diagnosis (A) utterly. By shifting the timings for the A-system and the B-system to output the diagnosis pulses, independencies can be secured between respective diagnosis processing (self-diagnoses (A) and (B)). Thus, the independencies between the A-system and the B-system can be verified briefly by the self-diagnosis (A) on the A-system side. Further, first diagnosis pulse group are outputted parallel and simultaneously from first diagnosis pulse output means 110A. Thus, since cyclic control is not required for respective external input devices, it can be done to verify the independencies between the A-system and the B-system within a short period of time.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 22, 2005Publication date: April 3, 2008Applicant: JTEKT CorporationInventors: Satoshi Kato, Tsutomu Araki

Publication number: 20070111797Abstract: A host terminal, to which a client terminal is connected, transmits a connection request to another host terminal to which another client terminal is connected. When the connection request is accepted, the host terminal, which is a source of the connection request, disconnects a connection between the host terminal and the client terminal, and then the host terminal is connected, as a client terminal, to said another host terminal which is a destination of the connection request. This prevents users from waiting for a long time, and allows a peer-to-peer network to be efficiently established.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 17, 2006Publication date: May 17, 2007Applicant: Nintendo Co., Ltd.Inventors: Tetsuya Sasaki, Tsutomu Araki
