Patent number: 7193069Abstract: Novel full-length cDNAs are provided. 2443 cDNA derived from human have been isolated. The full-length nucleotide sequences of the cDNA and amino acid sequences encoded by the nucleotide sequences have been determined. Because the cDNA of the present invention are full-length and contain the translation start site, they provide information useful for analyzing the functions of the polypeptide.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2002Date of Patent: March 20, 2007Assignee: Research Association for BiotechnologyInventors: Takao Isogai, Tomoyasu Sugiyama, Tetsuji Otsuki, Ai Wakamatsu, Hiroyuki Sato, Shizuko Ishii, Jun-ichi Yamamoto, Yuuko Isono, Yuri Hio, Kaoru Otsuka, Keiichi Nagai, Ryotaro Irie, Ichiro Tamechika, Naohiko Seki, Tsutomu Yoshikawa, Motoyuki Otsuka, Kenji Nagahari, Yasuhiko Masuho

Patent number: 7182471Abstract: A projection type display apparatus comprises a rod type integrator 6 having a solid rod structure, in which light being emitted from a lamp and entering an entrance face 6a, as a focal plane, at one end of the solid rod is guided by being internally reflected therein, and is emitted from an exit face 6c as a further focal plane at the other end of the solid rod. A parallel glass plate is attached to the exit face 6c. The glass plate 11 has a flange-shaped extension portion 11a, which extends from periphery of the solid rod, and which serves as a holding portion for holding the integrator. This realizes little or no loss of light to be caused by light leakage outside the solid rod, thereby preventing the integrator from decreasing light use efficiency. Furthermore, the exit face 6c, as the further focal plane, of the solid rod is prevented from having e.g. dust deposited thereon, thereby causing no influence on deterioration of projected images.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 2004Date of Patent: February 27, 2007Assignee: Funai Electric Co., Ltd.Inventor: Tsutomu Yoshikawa

Patent number: 6120158Abstract: An indicator for use in a vehicle instrument panel has a light conductive pointer illuminated by a light emitting diode or LED. In order to provide an increased illuminating surface of the pointer, a slit is formed on a cap to extend from the outer periphery of the cap to a portion above a center of rotation of the pointer driven by a driving shaft. A fixture is connected to the driving shaft and holds a light receiving portion of the pointer at the portion above the center of rotation and the LED in the optical alignment with the pointer at a portion off an axis of the center of rotation. A balancing weight is disposed at a portion opposite the LED with respect to the driving shaft in order to keep balance of the indicator.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 1998Date of Patent: September 19, 2000Assignee: Nippondenso CorporationInventors: Tadaaki Ishimaru, Teruaki Araki, Tsutomu Yoshikawa
