  • Publication number: 20100321889
Abstract: In a power conversion device including: a converter which steps up or down a voltage of a direct current power supply; and an inverter which converts the direct current voltage obtained by the converter into an alternating voltage to drive an electric motor, a plurality of magnetic parts are arranged above a switching element assembly unit with a water-cooled type second heat sink interposed between the switching element assembly unit and the plurality of magnetic parts, the switching element assembly unit configured by mounting all the switching element modules on upper and lower surfaces of a water-cooled type first heat sink. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a power conversion device capable of housing many switching element modules in a compact space and cooling them effectively, while preventing the influence of a noise due to the magnetic parts from acting on the switching element modules as much as possible.

Abstract: A rotor for an electric motor (10) includes a magnetic assembly (12) formed into a ring-shaped plate form, a rotor disc (11) for holding an inner periphery of the magnet assembly, and an outer peripheral ring (13) for holding an outer periphery of the magnet assembly. The magnet assembly is composed of first and second main magnets (12A-1, 12A-2) having magnetizations directions that are oriented perpendicularly and having orientations that are opposite one another, and first and second submagnets (12B-1, 12B-2) having magnetization directions that are oriented perpendicularly in a circumferential direction and having orientations that are opposite one another. At least one group of magnets selected from the main magnets and the submagnets has a wedge-shaped planar part. The planar parts of the first and second main magnets and first and second submagnets form the same plane of rotation. • Publication number: 20080053719
Abstract: A brake structure for a wheel rotating device is disclosed, which comprises a motor provided in a wheel and is driven for rotating the wheel, and a braking mechanism for actuating brake to brake the wheel. The motor includes: a motor housing; a stator positioned in and fixed to the motor housing; and a rotor positioned in the motor housing and facing to the stator. The braking mechanism includes: a brake rotor to rotate with the wheel; frictional members to be in contact with the brake rotor for generation of braking force; a pressing force generating unit for generating pressing force of the frictional members so that the frictional members are urged to and pressed against the brake rotor by supplying brake fluid through a brake fluid passage to transmit fluid pressure; and a housing for the pressing force generating unit. The brake fluid passage is formed inside a wall of the motor housing, and is connected to a brake fluid supply port provided in the housing for the pressing force generating unit.

  • Patent number: 6962057
Abstract: In a gas turbine power generation system having a gas turbine engine and a generator connected to the engine, maintenance ease is enhanced by forming the housing to have openable maintenance faces at two of its faces. Installation space is reduced and a compact configuration is achieved by providing a partition that divides the interior space of the housing into two regions into an upper bay and a lower bay, mounting the engine in the upper bay and mounting air intake duct in the lower bay at a location directly under the engine. Noise is reduced by using a partition to define two separate spaces (bays) and mounting the engine and the air intake duct in the upper and lower bays. Noise is also reduced by preventing engine rotation noise from escaping to the outside through the air intake duct.

  • Patent number: 3982356
Abstract: A honing machine for finishing a trochoidal bore of a rotor housing of a rotary engine. The honing machine includes a honing head and a machine table both of which are driven by a common drive shaft separately from each other in the same direction but with an eccentricity from each other. The eccentricity is adjustable so as to make the honing head follow smoothly and finely the trochoidal inner surface. A clearance control device is also provided in the honing machine, which controls the clearance between the gears intermeshing with each other for transmitting rotation from the drive shaft to the honing head and machine table. A bias pressure control mechanism is also provided which can control the bias pressure of the honing elements of the head against the trochoidal inner periphery in response to the angular positions of the elements relative to the inner periphery.
