  • Patent number: 7564693
Abstract: A power saving wakeup device for wireless mouse is disclosed. The wireless mouse has a microprocessor with a wake-up pin, and is waked up from the power saving mode when the wake-up pin is triggered. The wakeup device includes a contact conductor and a flexible conductor. The contact conductor is connected to the wake-up pin of the microprocessor. The flexible conductor is connected to a predetermined voltage level and separated by a predetermined distance from the contact conductor, such that the flexible conductor can contact with the contact conductor when the flexible conductor is vibrated. Thus, when the wireless mouse is moved to cause the flexible conductor to contact with the contact conductor, the wake-up pin is triggered by the predetermined potential.

  • Patent number: 7541816
Abstract: In a capacitive sensor, a sensing electrode is positively charged, the sensing electrode and a sensing capacitor are charge-balanced, the sensing electrode is negatively charged, and then the sensing electrode and the sensing capacitor are again charge-balanced. The sensing electrode is positively and negatively charged in the same period when the capacitive sensor is sensed. So, the invention can not only effectively improve the high-frequency external interference but also effectively resist the interference when an external direct current electrical field approaches.

Abstract: A capacitive sensor includes a sensing electro, control unit, first and second comparator wherein the sensing electro includes a first and a second conduct ports. A positive input terminal of the first comparator and a negative input terminal of the second comparator are coupled to the first conduct port. A positive input terminal of the second comparator and a negative input terminal of the first comparator are coupled to the second conduct port. The first and second comparators respectively output first and second comparing signals according to voltages of the positive and the negative terminals thereof. The control unit charges the first conduct port and discharges the second conduct port when the first and second comparing signals correspondingly are in first and second logic states. The control unit is operable on the contrary when the first and second comparing signals are in opposition to the abovementioned description.

  • Publication number: 20090021268
Abstract: The present invention relates to a touch sensor with electrostatic immunity and sensing method thereof. The touch sensor includes a sensing electrode, a discharge element, a sensing-controlling terminal and an input-output (I/O) control terminal, wherein the discharge element is coupled between the sensing-controlling terminal and the I/O control terminal and the sensing electrode is coupled to the sensing-controlling terminal. The essence of the present invention is using charge-discharge through the sensing-controlling terminal and the I/O control terminal for sensing whether a conductor contacts the sensing electrode. There are corresponding compensations no matter an electrostatic charge on the sensing electrode is positive charge or negative charge. Therefore, the influence of electrostatic charge can be eliminated.

  • Patent number: 7312409
Abstract: A touch pad and a position detecting circuit and method thereof are provided. The touch pad uses a waveform generator to generate an input signal; the input signal is capable of gradually moving a position of a zero voltage on the sensing pad in a predetermined direction. The touch pad also uses the zero voltage detector to detect when a zero voltage of the sensing signal of the sensing pen occurs so as to determine the position of the sensing pen on the sensing pad. Hence, the analog-to-digital converter is not required. Therefore, the resolution can be easily expanded, and the cost, the preciseness, and the specification can be easily controlled.
