  • Patent number: 7097671
Abstract: A methanol/water scrubbing solution containing colloidal metal sulfides formed from metal carbonyls and resulting from the scrubbing of industrial gases, such as synthesis gas, is subjected to agglomeration of the metal sulfides before the scrubbing solution to be separated enters the separating column which separates the methanol from the water containing precipitated metal sulfides. The agglomeration is carried out in a precipitation vessel and the scrubbing liquid is diluted before it enters the precipitation vessel. The result is minimal encrustation of the trays or other parts of the cleaning plant for the scrubbing solution.

  • Publication number: 20040234100
Abstract: A source image (S1) distorted by a camera lens can be transformed into a rectified target image (T), by means of a e tabular imaging specification. The above occurs during read-out from the image sensor and in real-time. Each source pixel in the source image is assigned none, one or several target pixels in the target image (T1). A first controller (C1) controls the image sensors (B1, B2) accurately with tine and the image equalisation and image correlation. A second controller (C2) controls the first controller (C1) and works in a manner temporally decoupled from the above.

  • Patent number: 5964982
Abstract: A solution to be evaporated is passed through one or several evaporation stages. In each evaporation stage, the solution is circulated between a heat exchanger and an evaporating vessel, and steam is withdrawn from the evaporating vessel. For removing crusts, the evaporation in the respective evaporation stage is interrupted, and a cleaning suspension containing at least 3 wt % granular solids is circulated through the heat exchanger and the evaporating vessel. The solids, which have an abrasive effect, remove the crusts. Preferably, the solution to be evaporated is circulated through the evaporation stage for removing the crusts, where the heat exchanger is heated and the cleaning solution is evaporated to such an extent that solids crystallize out and a cleaning suspension is formed.

  • Patent number: 5816143
Abstract: A process and device for satining paper may include guiding a sheet through a roll gap defined by a heated hard roll and a soft roll having with a covering. A paper sheet width of the paper may be less than a width of a cylindrical part of each of the covering and the hard roll. The two rolls may be axially adjusted in relation to each other and in accordance with the paper sheet width. Further, the two rolls are positioned such that a first sheet edge is located adjacent a first end of the cylindrical part of the covering and a second sheet edge is located adjacent a second end of the cylindrical part of the hard roll. That is, the cylindrical parts of the covering and hard roll are positioned to be directly over each other, i.e., beyond the sheet edge, at most by a predetermined permissible edge width.
