  • Publication number: 20190334776
Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for creating and using service control functions. The service control functions can detect a message via an adapter function. The message can relate to a service controlled by the service control functions. Service policies can be accessed. The service policies can include message handling policies and can be accessed to determine if a policy relating to the message exists. If a determination is made that the policy exists, the message and the policy can be analyzed to determine an action to take with respect to the message, and the action can be initiated.

  • Publication number: 20190320404
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a system that provides a first message to a communication device that includes a temporary international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) to be provisioned onto the device. A first registration message is sent to a registration function server, wherein the server includes a registry, wherein the first registration message indicates to the server to add the temporary IMSI to the registry. A second registration message is sent to the server in response to detecting expiration of a limited time period, wherein the second registration message indicates to the server to remove the temporary IMSI from the registry. A second message is provided to the wireless communication device that indicates to the wireless communication device the expiration of the limited time period, and that the temporary IMSI is removed from the registry of the registration function server. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20190312885
Abstract: A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may perform, for example, receive secret information and non-secret information from a secure download application function, provide a request for a first verification to a secure element where the first verification is associated with access to content and/or an application that is accessible via the secure download application function, receive the first verification which is generated by the secure element based on the secret information without providing the secret information to the secure device processor, receive the non-secret information from the secure element, and generate a second verification for the access based on the non-secret information, where the content and/or application is accessible from the secure download application function responsive to the first and second verifications. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20190313240
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, communication device, including a universal integrated circuit card that stores a provisioned, shared international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI), having a processing system that accesses the universal integrated circuit card to determine the shared IMSI using a secret key, wherein the secret key is uniquely associated with the universal integrated circuit card. A second IMSI is received via an over-the-air interface responsive to a first registration request that includes the shared IMSI and identification information obtained by an identity function of the network. The second IMSI is stored in the universal integrated circuit card, wherein the second IMSI facilitates a registration process that registers the communication device with the network, and wherein registration of the communication device facilitates access to subscriber services for the communication device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20190274029
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a system that receives a notification, from an identity proxy function, indicating an identity mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) is being registered. That is, a communication device sends a registration request that includes the IMSI to a first registration function. Further, the identity proxy function intercepts the registration request and sends the first notification to the device. Also, the system, sends a first registration message to the first registration function. The first registration function includes a first registry. Further, the first registration message indicates to the first registration function to add the IMSI to the first registry. The system also sends a second registration message to a second registration function. The second registration function includes a second registry. Further, the second registration message indicates to the second registration function to remove the IMSI to the first registry.

  • Patent number: 10375663
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a system that receives a first notification indicating a first international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) is being registered. A communication device sends a first registration request that includes the first IMSI to a registration function. Further, an identity proxy function intercepts the first registration request and sends the first notification to the device. In addition, the system receives from a billing server a request for services for the communication device. Further, the system provides a first Over-the-Air (OTA) message to the communication device that includes a second IMSI that is provisioned onto the communication device. Also, the system sends a first registration message to the registration function. The registration function includes a registry. The first registration message includes first instructions to indicate to the registration function to add the second IMSI to the registry. Other embodiments are disclosed.
