  • Publication number: 20120020355
Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention discloses a data switching method and a switching device, which relates to network technologies. The method is easy to implement, and saves system resources. In unicast switching, resource used for cells reordering at the egress is greatly reduced; in multicast switching, the scheduling is easy and the data pass rate is high. The data switching method includes: receiving a switching request for switching a cell; arbitrating the switching request and obtaining an arbitration result; and performing corresponding switching for the cell, where the switching includes unicast switching and multicast switching, according to the arbitration result.

  • Publication number: 20120014391
Abstract: A data communication method and a data communication apparatus are provided. The method mainly includes: receiving, by an adapter card, information elements sent by a first switching network board, in which a format of the information element is an information element format capable of being identified by the first switching network board; and performing, by the adapter card, format conversion on the information elements according to an information element format capable of being identified by a second switching network board, and sending the converted information elements to the second switching network board. In this manner, different types of switching network boards can be interconnected and communicate with each other, so as to implement data transmission between network devices having different structures.

  • Publication number: 20110294686
Abstract: Disclosed is the identification, provision and use of biomarkers predictive of sensitivity or resistance to EGFR inhibitors such as gefitinib and products and processes related thereto. Specifically, a method is described for selecting a cancer patient who is predicted to benefit from therapeutic administration of an EGFR inhibitor, an agonist thereof, or a drug having substantially similar biological activity as EGFR inhibitor. Also described is a method to identify molecules that interact with the EGFR pathway to allow or enhance responsiveness to EGFR inhibitors, as well as a plurality of polynucleotides or antibodies for the detection of the copy number or expression of genes that are indicative of sensitivity or resistance to EGFR inhibitors, an agonist thereof, or a drug having substantially similar biological activity as EGFR inhibitors. A method to identify a compound with the potential to enhance the efficacy of EGFR inhibitors is also described.

  • Publication number: 20110224313
Abstract: The application provides methods of prognosing, diagnosing, screening and classifying lung cancer patients into poor survival groups or good survival groups. A number of altered genomic regions have been identified that distinguish subtype of lung adenocarcinoma (ADC), specifically between bronchioloalveolar carcinoma (BAC) and invasive ADC with BAC features (AWBF), and genes and biomarkers whose expression are altered in individuals with pulmonary ADC according to different survival outcomes. The amplification and/or deletion of these genomic regions, and/or the biomarker expression profiles can be used to classify patients with ADC into a BAC group with excellent survival outcome, or an invasive ADC with BAC features group with higher risk of developing metastatic recurrence and poorer survival outcome. The application also includes kits for use in the methods of the application.

  • Publication number: 20100211755
Abstract: A method and apparatus for allocating storage addresses are disclosed. The method includes: receiving a storage address allocation request; searching a level-2 bitmap in a hierarchical bitmap in bidirectional mode; outputting an idle bit according to the result of searching in the level-2 bitmap; obtaining a storage address according to the output idle bit, and allocating the storage address. The apparatus includes: a first receiving module, configured to receive a storage address allocation request; a first searching module, configured to search a level-2 bitmap in a hierarchical bitmap in bidirectional mode for an idle bit, wherein the hierarchical bitmap includes N level-1 bitmaps and the level-2 bitmap; and an allocating module, configured to: obtain a storage address according to the output idle bit in the level-2 bitmap, and allocate the obtained storage address.

  • Patent number: 7421832
Abstract: A package of a strip of material is formed by slitting or perforating a web to separate the web into side by side strips and fan folding the web to form a plurality of side by side stacks of the strips. The strip of each stack is spliced to the strip of the next stack to form a continuous strip through the package which can be unfolded for supply continuously to an end use machine. The package while compressed is wrapped by a packaging material which includes a bottom header plate and heat shrink bag wrapped around the package and under a bottom header plate and heat sealed to a bottom surface of the bottom header plate. The spliced connecting portions are held attached to the end plane of the package by a series of spaced tie members formed of spare strip material each of which extends across the end plane and has opposed ends of the tie member tucked between two of the strip portions of respective ones of the outermost stacks.

  • Patent number: 6999461
Abstract: New routing techniques over a packet switching network so that the protocol processing at inter-node line cards is drastically simplified or even eliminated altogether. These techniques utilize an ingress node of the packet switching network for translating the routing information into a fixed route encoded as a sequence of in-band control signals, fragmenting the packet into cells of a fixed length, and affixing the sequence of in-band control signals in front of each of the cells, deploying the in-band control signals in a sequence in nodes on the route to guide each of the cells through the sequence of nodes and then consuming the in-band control signals, and at an egress node reassembling the cells into the packet.
