Abstract: The various embodiments described herein include methods and devices for housing electronic devices. In one aspect, a magnetic housing for a mobile electronic device having one or more internal antennas includes: (1) a magnetic back configured to: (a) cover at least a portion of a back of the mobile electronic device; and (b) magnetically couple with one or more magnetic attachments; (2) an encapsulating material connected to the magnetic back and configured to cover and protect the mobile electronic device; and (3) an aperture configured to expose a camera lens of the mobile electronic device; where the encapsulating material is configured to cover the one or more internal antennas while the mobile electronic device is enclosed in the housing; and where the magnetic back is configured so as to not cover the one or more internal antennas while the mobile electronic device is enclosed in the housing.

Abstract: A cord management system includes a case and a strap. The strap has a first attachment point at a first location on the strap and a second attachment point a second location on the strap. The strap also includes at least two modes of operation. In a first mode of operation, the first attachment point is attached to the second attachment point so that a first segment of the strap located between the first attachment point and the second attachment point forms a loop configured to secure a cord that is wrapped around the case. In a second mode of operation, the first attachment point is detached from the second attachment point so that the first segment no longer forms the loop. In some embodiments, the strap is permanently attached to the case, while in other embodiments the strap is semi-permanently attached to the case.

Abstract: A case for a mobile electronic device is provided. The case includes a removable magnetic material back that covers substantially all of a back side of the mobile electronic device when the device is housed within the case. The removable magnetic material back includes magnetic material and a substantially planar exterior surface facing away from the mobile electronic device when the mobile electronic device is housed within the case. The case also includes a skin including magnetic material. The skin is configured to be removably coupled with the substantially planar exterior surface of the removable magnetic material back via magnetic attraction between the removable magnetic material back of the case and the magnetic material of the skin. In some embodiments, the case further includes a pocket and the removable magnetic material back is configured to be slidably removed from a side portion and/or a top portion of the pocket.
