Abstract: The present invention is an HVAC fan array wiring system that provides a quick connect box that is provided within the air stream of an HVAC air handler. Because the wiring for each fan within the fan array is to be connected to the quick connect box, the wiring materials and placement of the wiring can be predetermined at the time the fan array is designed. Accordingly, the novel wiring system and quick connect box reduces redundancies in manufacturing and installation of the fan array. Furthermore, the quick connect box and wiring system allows for easy installation of the HVAC fan array at a job site and improves a customer's experience with the control panel. This is primarily because, with the use of the claimed invention, an electrician need only link a main control and power line to the quick connect box and therefore, can install the control panel in a location that provides ease of access to the customer.

Abstract: A method of enabling an employee to utilize earned and unpaid earnings includes receiving, with a with a central office processor, a record of an employee's accrued and unpaid earnings for a predetermined time period and storing the record in a database. The method further includes receiving, with the central office processor, an electronic request from an employee to access the employee's record of accrued and unpaid earnings for the predetermined time period. Upon receipt of the request, the central office processor accesses the database including the record of the employee's accrued and unpaid earnings for the predetermined time period and determines an amount of the employee's accrued and unpaid earnings for the predetermined time period available to the employee and transmits the amount for display to the employee.

Abstract: Technologies are shown for self-elevating platform carts that can transport a load from an initial surface to a destination surface that can be at a higher level, lower level or same level across a horizontal distance and/or barrier. One example extends a front height support to contact the destination surface and extends a rear height support control to contact the initial surface. A main lift is retracted and the system moved forward until main wheels on the main lift contact the destination surface. The main lift is extended and the extensible support beams and height supports are retracted. Another example traverses intermediate surfaces using a vertical stabilizer to stabilize the main lift on surfaces at different levels. The main lift can be the only power lift for the cart.

Abstract: An aircraft door drainage system includes a precipitation receptacle disposed longitudinally along an upper edge of an aircraft door opening. The receptacle is mounted along the upper edge of the door opening by a plurality of brackets that connect the receptacle to an inside ceiling panel of the aircraft. The receptacle protrudes outward from the upper edge of the door opening into a path followed by precipitation falling off of an outer peripheral surface of a fuselage of the aircraft from locations above, forward, and aft of the door opening into the door opening when the aircraft door is in an open position. The receptacle remains clear of the aircraft door when the aircraft door is closed into the door opening. Drain hoses are connected at first and second ends of the receptacle to direct precipitation collected in the receptacle to an outside of the aircraft.

Abstract: A distributed transaction system for enabling users to conduct transactions using services from third party service providers includes a central processing center with one or more communications interfaces to facilitate transactions initiated by users at a plurality of kiosks wherein each of the kiosks includes a user interface enabling a user to access a user selected service and a data store for storing configurations associated with services provided by the third party service providers, whereby a user interfaces with one or more of physical system resources of the kiosk to open a user identity session such that the kiosk is operative to facilitate at least one first user action with the physical resources to initiate a financial transaction and the central processing center is operative to execute at least a second action to facilitate the transaction and to communicate with a financial institution.

Abstract: A method of preparing a biocompatible polymeric coating includes preparing an aqueous polymer solution by contacting and reacting methacrylic acid and at least one methacrylate or phosphorylcholine. The methacrylate or phosphorylcholine may include hydroxyethyl methacrylate, polyethylene glycol monomethacrylate, or methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine. An aqueous coupling agent solution is prepared and is either applied to the substrate surface or is mixed with the polymer solution to form a coating solution. If the coupling agent solution was first applied to the substrate surface, the polymer solution is then applied to the primed substrate surface. Alternatively if a coating solution was created, the coating solution is applied to the substrate surface. In either event, the polymer solution and coupling agent solution react with the substrate to form the biocompatible polymeric coating on the substrate surface.

Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus for the deploying of buoyancy and impact reduction measures during operation of a UAV in the event of a failure, malfunction or collision. One or more airbags or bladders may be inflated to reduce the force transferred to the UAV as a result of a crash or collision. The bladders may both be used in the impact reduction as well as being used as a floatation device in the event a water landing/crash. The airbags may be configured to keep the UAV afloat so as to allow for the recovery of the UAV.

The portable retainer provides a core having communicating wire holes adjacent each end of thereof, through which an elastic wire protrudes for either hanging from a seatback in an upright hanging position or being supported in a pocket of the seatback in an inverted propped up position. The portable retainer provides front and rear endplates that are peripherally broader than the core for facilitating winding the elastic wire about the core in a stored position. The endplates may provide a slot for magnets, to which anchor plates can removably attach to a desired electronic device in either the hanging or the propped-up positions for viewing the anchored electronic device from selective angles and height, due in part to the rigidly malleable elastic wire.
