    Abstract: An access node such as a gNB, when determining that a communication channel in a shared spectrum is clear, may send downlink control information (DCI) triggering a user equipment (UE) to measure a resource to determine whether the communication channel is available for the UE. The UE, triggered by the DCI, may measure received energy on resource, generate a measurement report and send the measurement report to the access node. The access node may determine whether to transmit data to the UE in the communication channel based on the measurement report.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) in a frame based equipment (FBE) mode may determine that a communication channel in an unlicensed spectrum is available for use, and transmit, in the communication channel, a transmission to a gNB in a fixed frame period (FFP) associated with the UE to initiate a channel occupancy time (COT) by the UE in the FFP. The transmission starts at the beginning of the FFP and ends before an idle period within the FFP. The gNB receives the transmission and, based thereon, determines that the UE has initiated the COT. The gNB may acknowledge or reject initiation of the COT by the UE.

The number of first samples are generated based on a discrete-time baseband signal and a predetermined guard period. A discrete Fourier transform (DFT) operation is performed on the number of first samples to obtain a number of second samples in the frequency domain. An interleaving operation is performed on the number of second samples to obtain a number of third samples in the frequency domain. An inverse-DFT (IDFT) operation is performed on the number of third samples to obtain a number of fourth samples in the time domain. A time shifting is performed on the number of fourth samples to obtain a number of shifted fourth samples. A block transmission is sent using the number of shifted fourth samples.

Some UEs may be incapable of transmitting uplink signals over all component carriers in their assigned set of aggregated component carriers. In such scenarios, a UE may need to perform SRS switching in order to transmit SRS symbols over all of the component carriers. Embodiments of this disclosure provide various techniques for facilitating SRS switching. For example, a radio resource control (RRC) message may be used to signal a periodic SRS configuration parameter. As another example, a downlink control indication (DCI) message may be used to signal an aperiodic SRS configuration parameter. Many other examples are also provided.

    Abstract: A device for cooking a starch-based food item is provided in which there is a drying cycle at a temperature below the gelatinization temperature and a cooking cycle at a temperature above the gelatinization temperature. The drying provides a relative weight drop by a first amount and the cooking provides a further relative weight drop. The weight is monitored during drying and cooking to provide feedback control of the duration of the drying and cooking times. The device and method make healthy food with reduced rapid digestible starch (RDS) and increased resistant starch (RS) content. In this way the glycemic index (GI) of a food item is reduced and the resistant starch is increased, which is beneficial to health especially for diabetes and obese groups.
