    Abstract: A device for separating paint overspray from the cabin exhaust air of painting systems which is laden with overspray comprises at least one separating surface, on which the cabin exhaust air can be guided along and which is connected to a pole of a high voltage source. An electrode device arranged in the air stream is associated with the separating surface and connected to the other pole of the high voltage source. The separated paint overspray is transported away from the separating surface with a separating fluid, which flows over the separating surface from top to bottom. A discharge device having a channel open at the top is present, from which said fed separating fluid exits along the longitudinal extension of said discharge device when the level of the separating fluid in the channel exceeds an exit level, and reaches the separating surface such that the separating fluid flows downward on the separating surface as a substantially adhering layer.

    Abstract: A device for separating paint overspray from the air of painting cubicles that is laden with overspray has in a housing at least one separating element, the surface of which is electrically conductive and is connected to one terminal of a high-voltage source. The separating element is assigned an electrode arrangement, which is connected to the other terminal of the high-voltage source. The air of the cubicle is made to flow past the separating element and the electrode arrangement in such a way that the overspray particles are colonized and deposited on the surface of the separating element. The separating element is moved continuously or intermittently, wherein a wiping device wipes off the overspray that is on the surface of the separating element. This can then be carried away by a suitable transporting device for disposal or re-use.

Each member of the set has at least one electric feed-in block, which is connectable to the locally available system voltage and from this generates an output voltage, which is the same for all members of the set and is lower than or equal to the lowest system voltage, for which a member of the set is designed. The drive motors of the driven rollers are in this case designed for the output voltage of the feed-in block. In this way, the manufacturer of the roller conveyors may carry out the design, warehousing, and assembly of a roller conveyor independently of the different system voltages available from site to site and in this way may considerably reduce the costs associated therewith.

In this way, the impurities condense on the cooled surface. The relatively costly inert gas can thus be used for a long time.

    Abstract: What is described is a process and an installation for drying articles, in particular painted vehicle bodies, in which the articles are moved through a drying zone in which they are hardened in an inert-gas atmosphere. Inert gas is taken from the drying zone constantly or intermittently and is first of all conducted along a first face which is at a first temperature at which higher-boiling contaminants condense out. The condensate that forms in the process is discharged. After that, the inert gas which has been pre-cleaned in this way is conducted along at least one second face which is at a lower temperature than the first face. Lower-boiling contaminants are precipitated at this point. These condensates, too, are then discharged. This process and installation work more favourably, energy-wise, and with higher cleaning efficiency than known processes and installations of a similar type.
