  • Publication number: 20070272150
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for hardening the coating of an object, particularly a vehicle body (12), said coating being made of a material that hardens under electromagnetic radiation, especially a UV lacquer or a thermally hardening lacquer. The inventive device comprises at least one emitter (46, 48a, 48b, 52a, 52b) that generates electromagnetic radiation, and a system (14, 16) which conveys the object (12) into the proximity of and away from the emitter (46, 48a, 48b, 52a, 52b). The spatial position of the at least one emitter (46, 48a, 48b, 52a, 52b) or a reflector (55) that is assigned thereto can be modified by means of a motor, thus allowing even objects (12) with highly uneven and three-dimensionally curved surfaces to be conveyed into the radiation range of the emitters (46, 48a, 48b, 52a, 52b) in such a way that the surfaces are evenly exposed to a radiation quantity and radiation intensity required for hardening.

  • Publication number: 20070235291
Abstract: A set of roller conveyors is described, the members of which include a plurality of driven rollers disposed in two parallel tracks. Each member of the set has at least one electric feed-in block, which is connectable to the locally available system voltage and from this generates an output voltage, which is the same for all members of the set and is lower than or equal to the lowest system voltage, for which a member of the set is designed. The drive motors of the driven rollers are in this case designed for the output voltage of the feed-in block. In this way, the manufacturer of the roller conveyors may carry out the design, warehousing, and assembly of a roller conveyor independently of the different system voltages available from site to site and in this way may considerably reduce the costs associated therewith.

  • Publication number: 20070202601
Abstract: In order to ensure consistently good maceration of biological material in an electroporation reactor, it is proposed to monitor the conductivity of the mixture therein and to detect any arcing which occurs therein. The results of such monitoring are used to modify the operating voltage of the electroporation reactor and/or the composition of the mixture located in the reactor channel.

  • Publication number: 20070189323
Abstract: The invention relates to a serial data bus including a data line for transmitting electrical signals representing bit states and a plurality of multi-master subscribers between which messages can be exchanged via the data line in an event-driven manner according to the broadcast principle. At least two subscribers have a transceiver head, inductively connected to the data line, via which contactless electrical signals are picked up from the data line or transferred thereto. An amplifier (is galvanically connected to the data line and is adapted to receive electrical signals that have been inductively transferred by the at least two subscribers to the data line and to feed them back to the data line once amplified. Due to its inductive connection, the data bus is especially low-maintenance and also suitable for hazardous surroundings.

  • Publication number: 20070181407
Abstract: A roller conveyor including a plurality of driven rollers disposed in two parallel tracks. With each driven roller a separate drive motor is associated, which takes the form of a low voltage motor. The drive motors are supplied from at least one low voltage source. They are preferably hub motors, which are operated with direct current. By virtue of the low voltage technology, less expensive components may be used and the safety requirements may be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20070181406
Abstract: A roller conveyor in an as such known manner includes a plurality of driven rollers disposed in two parallel tracks. With each driven roller a drive motor is associated. From a first voltage source a first set of the driven rollers is supplied, wherein a second voltage source is provided, from which a further set of the driven rollers is supplied. This arrangement offers a high degree of redundancy in the event of the failure of individual components of the roller drive, thereby guaranteeing an emergency operation in such a situation.

  • Publication number: 20070101607
Abstract: The invention to a system which is used to dry objects, comprising a drying cubicle (1), known per se, wherein the objects are exposed to hot air. The process waste air from a high temperature fuel cell (10) is used as hot air which is directly introduced into the drying cubicle (1). The high pressure fuel cell (10) is operated, according to thermal energy required for the drying process, whereby according to the extent thereof electric energy is also accumulated and is disregarded when controlling the high temperature fuel cell (10), whereby electrical consumers for said electrical energy can always be found. The inventive system and method for drying objects are relatively inexpensive and have a very high energy utilisation ratio.

  • Publication number: 20070062060
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) for hardening a coating of an object (4), more particularly a car body, said coating consisting of UV paint or a thermally hardening paint. The inventive device comprises at least one radiator (12) producing an electromagnetic radiation. A conveyor system (3) that moves the object (4) to the proximity of the radiator (12) and moves it away from said radiator includes at least one transport cart (18) that can be translationally moved on at least one running surface (15, 16). Said transport cart (18) has at least one drive motor (22) for the translational movement. A support frame (26) for the object (4) is fixed to the transport cart (18) in order to rotate or pivot the object about an rotational or pivoting axis extending crosswise relative to the translational movement and independently thereof.

  • Publication number: 20060290014
Abstract: An apparatus for air treatment includes at least one reservoir which can be filled with a liquid, an air-conveying device and a device which ensures that for the treatment of the air to be treated the air comes into contact with at least a part of the liquid. A circulating device is provided, by which liquid in the reservoir is conveyed in a circuit out of the reservoir and back into the latter. For the purpose of sterilising the liquid, a device for mechanico-physical opening of cell membranes, for instance by electroporation or cavitation, is provided in the circuit. Such an apparatus can also be used for purifying exhaust air in a surface treatment installation.

  • Patent number: 7137494
Abstract: A device with which electrical energy can be transferred from a power cable running along a stationary rail of a transport system to a moving element that can be driven along the rail. Each moving element has for this purpose a transfer head which works inductively together with the power cable. The power cable is attached with the aid of carrier profile which extends substantially along the entire length of the rail and is fixed in a releasable manner to the rail, which element has at least one a trough-like holder open to the side in which the power cable is laid. The power cable is thus relatively easily and accurately laid, avoiding hanging loops of cable which could be damaged by abrasion by the passing transfer heads of the moving elements.
