  • Patent number: 8240375
Abstract: A field joint for connecting a plurality of downhole tool modules is disclosed. The modules include a housing and an electrical line. A bulkhead is coupled to a first module that includes a first conduit aperture for receiving an electrical connector assembly. The first electrical connector assembly is releasably coupled to the exterior portion of the first module and includes a first connector having a first end adapted for electrical coupling to an electrical line. A connector block is coupled to the second module that includes a second conduit aperture positioned to substantially face the first conduit aperture when the first and second modules are joined. A second electrical connector is disposed in the second conduit aperture and is electrically coupled to an electrical line such that an electrical contact is established with a second end of the first connector when the first and second modules are joined.

  • Publication number: 20120066914
Abstract: Double handle knives and attachments to convert a knife to a double handle knife are described with secondary handles able to form an angle (a) between about 20 to 70 degrees between the long axis of the secondary handle and the long axis of the blade in a plane at about right angles to the blade. Embodiments describe fixed, rotatable, and indexable means for the angle of attachment of the secondary handle to the blade. Embodiments further describe reversible and permanent means of attachment. The placement of the secondary handle at the angle described allows for the optimal positioning of the hands for both controlling and assisting with the cutting of foods and other items.

  • Publication number: 20100208730
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for the Transporting of Fibre Channel data over Ethernet are disclosed. In one embodiment of the invention, Fibre Channel data frame and primitive signals are transported over Ethernet instead of using the Fibre Channel FC-1 and FC-0 protocols. This allows less expensive Ethernet equipment and devices to transport and perform services for Fibre Channel connected devices without having a physical Fibre Channel interface. The ability to provide Fibre Channel services and functions without having a physical Fibre Channel interface allows existing Ethernet equipment to be placed into service as SAN components without modification.

  • Publication number: 20090139096
Abstract: A double handle knife is described with the secondary handle rotatable upon a pivot post. In further embodiments: the secondary handle is mounted to the top of the blade at a fixed angle of 45 degrees (±25) degrees between the long axis of the secondary handle and the long axis of the knife blade; and attachments are described to convert single handle knifes into double handle knives functioning identical to those described above. A methods is described utilizing the double handle knife invention in any of its embodiments being gripped by the dominant hand on the primary handle, four fingers of the non-dominant hand being placed evenly upon the secondary handle with long axis thereof positioned at an angle of 45 degrees (±25) degrees to the long axis of the knife blade, the palm/or thumb of the same hand positioning the food item, both hands applying downward pressure and the food item being easily and accurately cut.

  • Patent number: 7138133
Abstract: The present invention is an orally administered liquid pharmaceutical composition that demonstrates excellent physical stability while delivering concentrated levels of the pharmaceutical active(s). Specifically, these compositions for extended periods do not allow the active to precipitate or settle out of solution. Among the advantages of this invention is that the compositions do not require agitation/shaking prior to use as a method to re-suspend or dissolve active drug material to insure even and consistent dosing.
