Abstract: A wireless endoscopic surgical device used for minimally invasive procedures comprises a handheld component and a separate power module. The handheld component consisting of a handle and a conduit houses a wireless imaging system and a single LED light source. The imaging system comprises a wireless camera coupled to an optical assembly. Both the intensity of the LED and the camera action can be controlled by a battery-operated power module. The handle and conduit are designed to accommodate surgical tools.

An identification of the device is received or otherwise obtained. A legal requisition template for use in a particular jurisdiction where the device was stolen is retrieved. Upon consulting a database which stores information about police departments of a plurality of jurisdictions, the legal requisition document is composed using the template, the identification, and data retrieved from the database. The server may electronically send the legal requisition document to a police department associated with the particular jurisdiction. Advantageously, information about the activity of a device reported stolen may be obtained before the device is factory reset.

Abstract: A database stores results of scans for wireless (e.g., Wi-Fi) access points, some of them directly associated with GPS coordinates. Mobile electronic devices detect access points, details of which are sent to the database. Contents of the database are analyzed for relations between the scanned access points and previously stored GPS coordinates. If a relation is found, the GPS coordinates are used for determining or estimating the location of the mobile device.

Abstract: An improved meat tenderizing appliance for domestic use in which both mechanical and chemical tenderizing processes are implemented in an easily cleaned, handheld unit operated by the mechanical movement of the device. A small pump is operated through the downward motion of the device. Pressure generated from the pump, as a result of the downward motion, forces the injection solution through a manifold of specially designed needles that administer micro-cuts into the meat and inject the solution. The needles are designed as heavy duty stainless steel with flutes that have sharp edges to produce the micro-cuts in the meat and to strengthen the needle.
