  • Publication number: 20180128754
Abstract: The present application discloses a computed tomography system having non-rotating X-ray sources that are programmed to optimize the source firing pattern. In one embodiment, the CT system is a fast cone-beam CT scanner which uses a fixed ring of multiple sources and fixed rings of detectors in an offset geometry. It should be appreciated that the source firing pattern is effectuated by a controller, which implements methods to determine a source firing pattern that are adapted to geometries where the X-ray sources and detector geometry are offset.

  • Patent number: 9956145
Abstract: A low-profile visual counting system is provided and designed to count pills or other small discrete objects. This technology is vision based, which allows a pharmacist or other user to pour pills onto a counting surface in a single layer, and then the device tells the user how many pills are on that surface. The present device places the camera and preferably an infrared light source below the counting surface. This offers the unique advantage of not having to mount a camera above the counting surface which reduces the size and improves the aesthetic characteristics of such a device. The image is captured and then processed to determine the number of pills on the surface. This system may be interfaced with other networks, terminals, and existing pharmacy management systems.

  • Patent number: 9922384
Abstract: A wireless computerized will call system is provided for filling prescriptions and then locating specific prescriptions that have been filled when the customer arrives to pick up the prescription. The system includes a computer workstation or network, a wireless transmitter, and hanger bags for temporarily storing prescriptions awaiting customer pick up. The hanger bags are equipped with wireless receivers and transducers. When a pharmacy worker commands the computer system to locate a specific prescription, the specific hanger bag containing that prescription receives a wireless signal from the computer system and activates the transducer on the hanger bag to alert the pharmacy worker to the location of the prescription.

  • Publication number: 20180065477
Abstract: Some embodiments are directed to an electric hub drive with a braking assembly. The hub drive includes a housing; a rotary drive transmission system mounted within the housing; and a braking assembly positioned within the housing. The braking assembly includes a braking formation that is coupled to be rotationally driven by the rotary drive transmission system. Advantageously or preferably, the braking formation is coupled to be rotationally driven by a part of the rotary drive transmission system that has a higher angular velocity than the output shaft. This enables the braking formation to rotate at a faster speed than the wheel hub.

  • Publication number: 20170356979
Abstract: There is provided a system and method for determining the location of a target device relative to a set of anchor nodes having known locations in an environment wherein the line of sight between the target device and one or more of the anchor nodes is impeded. The system is configured to, for each anchor node: receive a signal transmitted between the anchor node and the target device; determine, based on the signal, an estimate of the distance between the target device and the anchor node or an estimate of the angle of arrival of the signal to the target device; determine a received signal quality indicator based on the signal; and, assign a weight for the signal based on the received signal quality indicator. The system is further configured to determine the position of the target device based on the estimated distances or angles of arrival, the corresponding weights and the locations of the anchor nodes.
