  • Patent number: 9430588
Abstract: A method and apparatus that allows the user of a computer aided design (CAD) system to connect three-dimensional parts to create a three-dimensional assembly using connections that completely define the attachment between the parts attached to each other by that connection. The user can simultaneously define the orientations of the parts and their behavior. “Behavior” includes whether parts are rigidly connected or allowed to move relative to one and other, and if allowed to move, the nature and limits on that movement. Within any movement allowed, the user may specify key discrete orientations known to be important to the function of the assembly, such as orientations that limit movement within the assembly. The connection method creates a smaller, more consistent representation of the underlying constraints of the assembly, improving the reliability, performance, and ease of use of a CAD system in which it is used.

  • Publication number: 20160243264
Abstract: The present invention is in the field of pharmaceuticals and chemical industries. In particular, one aspect of the present invention relates to methods for labeling, imaging and detecting the beta-amyloid (A?) peptides, oligomers, and fibrils in vitro and in vivo via magnetic resonance and florescence imaging by using modified carbazole-based fluorophores. A further aspect of the present invention relates to a method of reducing and preventing aggregation of beta-amyloid peptides for Alzheimer's disease (AD) as well as of treating and/or preventing Alzheimer's disease by using the modified carbazole-based fluorophore. The modified carbazole-based fluorophore according to an embodiment of the present invention is prepared by conjugating a carbazole-based fluorophore with magnetic nanoparticles to form a conjugate which is permeable to blood brain barrier of a subject being introduced therewith.

  • Patent number: 9361584
Abstract: A machine may implement a recommender that provides recommendations to users. The machine may be configured to present a first version of the recommender configured by various parameters. A user may submit a message to the machine, and the machine may identify a parameter among the various parameters by tokenizing the message and identifying the parameter among the tokens. The machine may then generate a second version of the recommender by modifying the parameter and configuring the second version according to the modified parameter. The machine may then present the first and second versions of the recommender contemporaneously two different portions of the users. By tokenizing a further message received from the users, the machine may evaluate the first and second versions and determine whether the second version is a replacement of the first version.
