  • Publication number: 20040074732
Abstract: The invention relates to a clutch system, comprising at least one clutch device, especially for arrangement in a drive train, between a drive unit and a transmission. Said clutch device (202) can be actuated through the conveying of a pressure medium and/or is able to operate under the influence of an operating medium. One aspect of the invention provides that a secondary medium that acts as the pressure medium for actuating or as the operating medium for operating the clutch arrangement is supplied by a pump arrangement (208) which supplies a primary medium and a secondary medium supply device (220) which is connected to the pump arrangement or a secondary pump arrangement (220).

  • Patent number: 6644451
Abstract: A release bearing is provided for transmitting release force to a corresponding force accumulator of each of the first and second clutch regions of the double clutch assembly, the release bearings being arranged in succession in the direction of an axis of rotation. Each of the release bearings has an action region for a respective release-force transmission member to act on, the release-force transmission members interacting on the same axial side of the release bearings. The action region of one of the release bearings includes a sleeve-like action element which is surrounded by the other release bearing. • Patent number: 6575471
Abstract: In a cylinder for a hydraulic system, a seal has a sealing bead clamped between a housing of the cylinder and a supporting part which holds the sealing bead in a deformed state by pretensioning. The seal is reliably held in its intended position by the supporting part and, therefore, pressure fluctuations in the pressure space do not cause a relative movement of the seal and wear of the sealing bead.

  • Patent number: 6454314
Abstract: An elastomeric seal seals a pipe which is held in a push-in part of a plug-in coupling relative to a cylindrical interior surface of a housing of the plug-in coupling, into which the push-in part is pushed together with the pipe. The seal is in prestressed contact with the interior surface of the housing via an outward-facing annular lip and with the pipe via a radially inward-facing annular lip. The elastomeric seal is connectable by positive fitting to the push-in part, this positive fit being lockable by the assembly of the pipe to form a non-releasable connection, the pipe having a cylindrical and uninterrupted exterior circumference in the region of the seal. The joint between the seal and the push-in part is simple to assemble and is lockable by the insertion of the pipe. The connection of the seal to the push-in part may be additionally secured, with certain changes of diameter, by compression of the web-shaped connection between them.

  • Patent number: 6343541
Abstract: A damping device for installation in a hydraulic adjustment device such, for example, as for motor vehicle clutches. The hydraulic adjustment device has a cylinder that is either an input cylinder or actuator or an output cylinder. The input cylinder or actuator, which is connected to an operating pedal of the motor vehicle, is also connected to the output cylinder via a hydraulic line filled with fluid. The damping device opposes a throttle resistance to the flow of the fluid in both flow directions. The damping device comprises a disk having first and second spring washers on either side of the disk. The disk has passage openings, which are covered on the respective sides by one of the first and second spring washers. The damping device is installed in the hydraulic adjustment device to suppress disturbing vibrations acts as both a vibration filter and an operating speed limiter. In addition, a constant throttle resistance is maintained relative to the fluid at all ambient temperatures.

  • Patent number: 6250201
Abstract: A throttle device for use with a hydraulic adjustment devices that have an input cylinder and an output cylinder and a hydraulic line filled with fluid connecting the output cylinder and the input cylinder, is arranged in the hydraulic line for establishing various throttle resistances to the flow of the fluid in both flow directions through the hydraulic line. The throttle device includes a disk with at least one boring and/or at least one passage channel. The disk moves back and forth, as the fluid flows, in both flow directions, and thereby strikes against a first stop in one direction and against a second stop in the other direction. The throttle device in the form of a disk in the movement space which is a transition from the hydraulic line to the supply line of the cylinder in its diameter, with a stop disk secured in the hydraulic line forming the second stop is economically advantageous. The disk that acts as the valve is distinguished by its low cost.

  • Patent number: 6116399
Abstract: An operation device for a friction clutch arranged in the drive train of a motor vehicle. The operation device includes a positioning servo arrangement with a pneumatic power cylinder arrangement. The pneumatic power cylinder arrangement acts on a clutch release sleeve arrangement. The positioning servo arrangement can be operated with a control valve that is connected to a pneumatic source depending on a command variable representing a desired position and an actual variable representing the axial position of the clutch release sleeve arrangement. The pneumatic power cylinder arrangement is arranged inside of the bell-shaped housing and the control valve is arranged outside of the bell-shaped housing or the bell-shaped housing is arranged at least partially inside of the bell-shaped housing, but is accessible from the outside and/or can be removed when the bell-shaped housing is attached to the combustion engine.

  • Patent number: 6041692
Abstract: Disclosed is a pressure medium cylinder, especially a hydraulic input cylinder, located on the chassis of a motor vehicle and operated by means of a pedal, whereby the tappet for operating the piston in the cylinder housing can be attached to different lever lengths, so that different requirements for the power/displacement ratio can be met with one and the same input cylinder. It is advantageous that the same components are used, in particular, a changeably-mounted joint head that produces different lever lengths for the attachment of the articulated part in the pedal arm.

  • Patent number: 6029979
Abstract: A sealing arrangement for providing a seal between a component and a cylinder in which the component is inserted includes a sealing ring supported in the axial direction in a circumferential slot on the component. The sealing ring has at least one static and one dynamic sealing lip. The sealing lips rest radially on corresponding sealing surfaces of the component and the cylinder. To reduce the noise generated during movement of the component in the cylinder, the geometrical shape of at least of one of the sealing lips is asymmetrical in the axial and/or radial direction with respect to a longitudinal axis of the component or a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the component, or cavities are distributed around a circumference of a base body portion of the sealing ring.

  • Patent number: 5979632
Abstract: A sliding sleeve for a disengagement mechanism for clutch actuation in motor vehicles has at least two pairs of cams with convexities of different heights from an actuation level on the sliding sleeve that is connectable to the clutch. Each of the pairs of cams selectively fits into a window of an oscillating link or clutch release fork, whereby the oscillating window and sliding sleeve have contours that fix the sliding sleeve at one position. By selecting which of the pair of cams engages the oscillating link or clutch release lever, different mounting heights of the actuation level on the sliding sleeve from the oscillating link or the clutch release fork may be realized.
