  • Patent number: 8942429
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for improving error discrimination in biometric authentication systems. The error discrimination is set to a predetermined security policy. A plurality of biometric samples are provided and authenticated by a computer system in conjunction with a security token. An alternate embodiment allows inputting of the plurality of biometric samples in a predetermined sequence. The predetermined input sequence is maintained as an authentication secret which may be used to further reduce the authentication transaction error rate.

  • Publication number: 20140063720
Abstract: A portable electrical device includes a tablet computer, a base panel, two supporting arms and two connecting members. Two ends of each supporting arm are pivotally disposed at one lateral side of the tablet computer and one lateral side of the base panel. The base panel has two guiding grooves oppositely arranged on one surface thereof. One end of the connecting member is pivoted with the lateral side of the tablet computer, and the other end of the connecting member is limited and slidably disposed in one of the guiding grooves. When the other ends of both the connecting members are at one distal end of the guiding groove, the tablet computer is stacked on the base panel, and a touch-controlled display of the tablet computer can alternatively face towards or opposite to the base panel.

  • Publication number: 20140068267
Abstract: An anonymous secure messaging method and system for securely exchanging information between a host computer system and a functionally connected cryptographic module. The invention comprises a Host Security Manager application in processing communications with a security executive program installed inside the cryptographic module. An SSL-like communications pathway is established between the host computer system and the cryptographic module. The initial session keys are generated by the host and securely exchanged using a PKI key pair associated with the cryptographic module. The secure communications pathway allows presentation of critical security parameter (CSP) without clear text disclosure of the CSP and further allows use of the generated session keys as temporary substitutes of the CSP for the session in which the session keys were created.

  • Patent number: 8209753
Abstract: An anonymous secure messaging method, system and computer program product for implementation over a wireless connection. The invention allows the securely exchange of information between a security token enabled computer system and an intelligent remote device having an operatively coupled security token thereto over the wireless connection. The invention establishes an anonymous secure messaging channel between the security token and the security token enabled computer system, which allows the intelligent remote device to emulate a locally connected security token peripheral device without requiring a physical connection. A dedicated wireless communications channel is incorporated to prevent several concurrent wireless connections from being established with the security token and potentially compromising the security of the information being sent on concurrent wireless connections.

  • Publication number: 20090312877
Abstract: A heat dissipation gate control system includes a magnetic element, an electromagnetic element and an elastic element. The magnetic element is coupled to a heat dissipation gate. The electromagnetic element is provided for generating a magnetic force to enable the magnetic element to drive the heat dissipation gate open. The elastic element has an end coupled to the heat dissipation gate and applies an elastic force to the heat dissipation gate to enable the heat dissipation gate closed when the electromagnetic element stops generating the magnetic force for the magnetic element. A method of controlling a heat dissipation gate is also disclosed herein.

  • Publication number: 20080059798
Abstract: An integrated security system which seamlessly assimilates with current generation logical security systems. The integrated security system incorporates a security controller having standard network interface capabilities including IEEE 802.x and takes advantage of the convenience and security offered by smart cards and related devices for both physical and logical security purposes. The invention is based on standard remote authentication dial-in service (RADIUS) protocols or TCP/IP using SSL, TLS, PCT or IPsec and stores a shared secret required by the secure communication protocols in a secure access module coupled to the security controller. The security controller is intended to be a networked client or embedded intelligent device controlled remotely by to an authentication server. In another embodiment of the invention one or more life cycle management transactions are performed with the secure access module.

  • Publication number: 20070011584
Abstract: The present invention is a method and system for encoding digital data. The encoding system proceeds the step of calculating error detection code and the step of scrambling the main data at the same time to decrease times for the access to the first memory. The present invention comprises a second memory. The encoding system can access more than one recording column per-time, which further decreases times for the access to the first memory.

  • Publication number: 20060273176
Abstract: A blocking Personal Security Device (PSD) is disclosed which is intended to protect the privacy of one or more contactless PSDs present within a common RF field generated by a contactless PSDs RF reader. The blocking PSD is programmed to exploit an anti-collision protocol used by the RF reader. The blocking PSD prevents the RF reader from accessing a contactless PSD within the common RF field by ignoring wait time commands and repeatedly responding to the RF reader's interrogations.

  • Publication number: 20060073783
Abstract: A flow direction control mechanism is provided, which includes at least a rotatable means provided in a passage of an electronic system or apparatus. The rotatable means moves to an open position by means of a force generated from fluids flowing through the passage and returns to a close position in the absence of the force. Further, a restrictor is disposed adjacent to the rotatable means for restricting movement of the rotatable means between the open position and the close position.

  • Patent number: 7022349
Abstract: An extraction process and composition produced thereby for use as an antihistamine is disclosed. The composition comprises an extraction of Loranthus, which is derived from a species of Loranthus known to possess quantities of quercetin and avicularin, which may be administered orally in an amount up to 300 mg per day, and preferably between 100 to 300 mg per day. The extraction process comprises forming an ethanol extraction from raw Loranthus, filtering the extract, and passing the filtered product through a separation column, eluting, distilling and concentrating the resultant extract and thereafter applying a vacuum to remove water and solvents to produce a concentrated powdered form of the extract.

  • Patent number: 6950171
Abstract: This invention involves one kind of liquid crystal color light switch, made especially from cholesteric liquid crystals. By changing the voltage applied, the reflection wavelength of the color light switch can be controlled, leading to a rapid change of the reflected light from red to green to blue in rapid succession, thus creating a color display. The core technology of this invention is making the voltage applied to the cholesteric liquid crystal less than the untwisted voltage and still in good focal conic state, that is the symmetric axis are in the same direction, and the pitch is varied according to the voltage applied.
