Patent number: 10576524Abstract: The present invention provides a die capable of achieving rapid forming and quenching therein. The die includes an upper die, a blank holder and a lower die, where the upper die is composed of an internal solid die core and a thin-walled skin. Grooves in communication with each other are disposed between the internal solid die core and the thin-walled skin. In a forming stage, the grooves are not filled or filled with a heat insulating material such as a gas; and in a quenching stage, a low-temperature medium is introduced into the grooves. The die can be used to achieve rapid forming and quenching of metal materials of different types and thicknesses.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 2019Date of Patent: March 3, 2020Assignees: DALIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, HARBIN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGYInventors: Shijian Yuan, Zhubin He, Xiaobo Fan, Yanli Lin, Guofeng Wang, Chang Qi

Patent number: 9383791Abstract: The subject matter of this specification can be embodied in, among other things, a method that includes supplying power to a portion of a data center through a power distribution line. Utilization of a statistically significant sample of the computers is monitored, and an estimated individual power draw for each of the computers based on the utilization is calculated. An estimated total power draw is calculated for different times from the estimated individual power draws to generate a collection of estimated total power draw values for the different times. Actual power draw is monitored at the power distribution line and a collection of actual power draw values is generated. A function is fitted to pairs of actual power draw values and estimated power draw values, each pair comprising an actual draw value and an estimated draw value for the same time, and the function is then stored.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2015Date of Patent: July 5, 2016Assignee: Google Inc.Inventors: Xiaobo Fan, Mark D. Patent number: 8832476Abstract: In a computer-implemented method, an electronic communication from a first computing machine is received and includes a power value and one or more priority values. The power value represents a request for a power allotment expected to be used during a predetermined time and the priority values represent priorities of tasks expected to be executed during the predetermined time. A score for the request is calculated using a scoring function and the received priority values as inputs to the scoring function. The score is compared to one or more other scores respectively associated with requests for power allotments from other computing machines and previously calculated using the scoring function following receipt of one or more electronic communications each including a power value and one or more priority values. A top-ranked score is identified and an electronic communication is sent to the associated computing machine granting the requested power allotment.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2010Date of Patent: September 9, 2014Assignee: Google Inc.Inventors: Xiaobo Fan, Chris Sadler, Selver Corhodzic, Wolf-Dietrich Weber, Taliver Brooks Heath, Mark Hennecke

Publication number: 20140104897Abstract: A control method is disclosed that involves controlling zero-crossing operation of bridge arms in a UPS, wherein the UPS has a rectifying bridge with first and second switching transistors, a midline bridge arm with third and fourth switching transitors, and an inverter bridge arm with fifth and sixth switching transitors. The midline and rectifying bridge arms are controlled to cross zero synchronously. The inverter bridge arm is controlled to be disconnected during a period before a zero-crossing point of the rectifying bridge arm to a period after the zero-crossing point of the rectifying bridge arm. The periods before and after the zero-crossing point of the rectifying bridge arm are time differences between the zero-crossing points of the inverter bridge arm and the rectifying bridge arm. The influence of asynchronous zero-crossing between the PFC circuit and the inverter circuit on the UPS performance indices may be reduced by using the present control method.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 8, 2011Publication date: April 17, 2014Applicant: LIEBERT CORPORATIONInventors: Junlin Li, Xiaobo Fan, Yanquan Zhang, Lihua Xie
