  • Publication number: 20210069337
Abstract: Compounds having affinity for integrins, the synthesis of these compounds, and the use of these compounds as ligands to facilitate the delivery of cargo molecules to cells expressing integrins are described. The described integrin targeting ligands have serum stability and affinity for ?v?3 integrin and/or ?v?5 integrin, and are suitable for conjugation to cargo molecules, such as such as oligonucleotide-based therapeutic agents (e.g., RNAi agents), to facilitate delivery of the cargo molecules to cells and tissues, such as tumor cells, that express integrin ?v?3, integrin ?v?5, or both integrin ?v?3 and integrin ?v?5. Compositions that include integrin targeting ligands and methods of use are also described.

  • Patent number: 10943959
Abstract: An optical system may include equipment with a housing that is configured to receive external equipment such as a cellular telephone. The external equipment may include a display. To control the persistence of the display, the optical system may include a light modulating layer. The light modulating layer may switch between a transparent state in which display image light is passed through the light modulating layer to reach the viewer and an opaque state in which display image light is blocked by the light modulating layer from reaching the viewer. The light modulating layer may be placed in the transparent state for a portion of each display frame and the opaque state for the remaining portion of each display frame. The light modulating layer may be formed in the housing of the equipment that receives the external equipment or may be formed with the external equipment directly.

  • Patent number: 10866458
Abstract: An electronic device may include display layers such as liquid crystal display layers and a backlight unit that provides illumination for the display layers. The backlight unit may include light-emitting diodes that emit light into the edge of a light guide film. To minimize the inactive area of the display, the light-emitting diodes may be tightly spaced to approximate a line light source instead of point light sources. Color and/or luminance compensation layers may be incorporated at various locations within the backlight structures to ensure that the backlight provided to the display layers is homogenous. A thin-film transistor layer of the display may be coupled to a printed circuit board by a flexible printed circuit. The flexible printed circuit may have additional solder mask layers to improve robustness, may include encapsulation, and may have traces with a varying pitch.

  • Patent number: 10460702
Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology relate to display circuitry including pixel overdrive circuitry. The pixel overdrive circuitry includes a compression engine that compresses a previous display frame, for storage and comparison to a current display frame without compression or decompression of the current display frame. The compression engine compresses the previous frame in such a way that the maximum compression error is always known and can be used to determine whether to perform overdrive operations for the current frame without compressing and decompressing the current display frame. The compression engine selects gradient encoding or decimation encoding for the compression of the previous display frame and can perform successive decimation operations within the gradient encoding operations to help reduce the size of the compressed previous frame while maintaining the quality of the ultimate overdriven current frame.

  • Publication number: 20190317659
Abstract: An electronic device may include a display for displaying image content to a user and dynamic image stabilization circuitry for dynamically compensating the image content if the device is moving unpredictably to help keep the image content aligned with the user's gaze. The electronic device may include sensors for detecting the displacement of the device. The dynamic image stabilization circuitry may include a usage scenario detection circuit and a content displacement compensation calculation circuit. The usage scenario detection circuit receives data from the sensors and infers a usage scenario based on the sensor data. The content displacement compensation calculation circuit uses the inferred usage scenario to compute a displacement amount by which to adjust image content. When motion stops, the image content may gradually drift back to the center of the display.

  • Patent number: 10304416
Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology relate to display circuitry including pixel overdrive circuitry. The pixel overdrive circuitry includes one more lookup tables of boost values to be applied to pixel display values of a frame to be displayed, for overdrive of that frame. Each lookup table includes a lightness-blur-edge-width-based boost value. The lightness-blur-edge-width-based boost value matches a lightness-blur-edge-width of an intermediate grey-to-grey transition to a lightness-blur-edge-width of a maximum grey-to-grey transition.
