  • Patent number: 9550463
Abstract: A vehicle body end section structure is obtained that enables a spacer member that transmits load to a framework member in a small overlap collision to be suppressed from impinging on a wheel in a minor collision. The vehicle body end section structure comprises a pair of left and right framework members, a bumper framework section connected to leading end portions of the pair of framework members, and a spacer member that projects out from a jutting-out portion of the bumper framework section toward a framework member side. The spacer member is disposed such that a rotation trajectory of the spacer member about a connection location between the bumper framework section and the framework member, the connection location is positioned on an opposite side in the vehicle width direction of the spacer member, does not impinge on a wheel in plan view.

  • Publication number: 20160311395
Abstract: A vehicular pedestrian protecting airbag device that is capable of suppressing increases in weight and cost accompanying reinforcement measures, and capable of maintaining good pedestrian protection performance of an upper face of a hood. An automobile pedestrian protecting airbag device is installed at a vehicle lower side of a rear end section of a hood at a vehicle rear side of a protruded portion. A pedestrian protecting airbag and an inflator are installed inside a module case. The inflator is attached to a bottom wall of the protruded portion by inflator attachment brackets each formed with an excess length portion at an intermediate portion. Accordingly, when the inflators attempt to move toward the vehicle front side due to deployment reaction force of the pedestrian protecting airbag, the excess length portions are compressed and deform to enable the deployment reaction force to escape.

  • Patent number: 9445525
Abstract: In a power supply device 1, a first space R1 and a second space R2 are delimited, a coil component 20 is arranged in the first space R1, and heat-generating components and components having weak resistance to heat are arranged in the second space R2. The power supply device 1 is configured to contain the coil component 20 in the first space R1 so that ambient air of the coil component 20 can contact a first side wall 72, which constitutes the first space R1, making it possible to expect discharge of heat to coolant in a coolant channel W via the first side wall 72. Therefore, heat can be discharged from the ambient air of the coil component, the temperature of which has been raised by heat generation, towards the coolant efficiently.

  • Patent number: 9211855
Abstract: When the fuel supply to an internal combustion engine has stopped due to a vehicle starting to decelerate or the like, and the speed of the vehicle is greater than a predetermined speed, then a controller causes a power generator to operate in a first power generating mode. The controller charges a capacitor by using regenerative power that is output from the power generator to supply power from the power generator to the capacitor via a DC-DC converter. When the stopping of the fuel supply to the internal combustion engine is cancelled as a result of the engine revolution speed reaching a predetermined revolution speed (for example, an idling revolution speed) in conjunction with the speed of the vehicle dropping to the predetermined speed, the power generator can be kept in the first power generating mode.

  • Publication number: 20150302954
Abstract: An insert bus bar plate includes a plate-shaped resin material and a plurality of metal bus bars that are embedded within the resin material by insert molding and have a terminal part exposed to a mounting surface that is one of principal faces of the resin material. The bus bars are formed, before the insert molding, as a bus bar assembly before molding the one ends different from the terminal part of which are coupled to each other by a carrier to be cut after the insert molding. The insert bus bar plate (a substrate main body) is formed by the insert molding performed by oppositely arranging two bus bar assemblies before molding of the same shape so that two terminal parts are positioned in between two carriers.

  • Patent number: 8941458
Abstract: In the coil unit 1A of the power supply device 1, the U-shaped plate 51C constituting the U-shaped terminal 50 is used to electrically connect the print-coil substrates 30, 40. Further, the print-coil substrates 30, 40 constituting the coil unit 1A can be connected to the main circuit substrate 20 also by using the U-shaped terminal 50. Here, the print-coil substrate 30 is connected to the print-coil substrate 40 by using the U-shaped terminal 50, by which soldering for fixing the U-shaped terminal 50 is performed from the lower face side of the print-coil substrate 30. Therefore, as compared with a conventional constitution where soldering is performed from both sides of the stacked print-coil substrates, the print coils can be connected by soldering only from one side face, thus making it possible to reduce the amount of work necessary for connecting the print coils.

Abstract: In a regenerative power discharge operating mode, when a controller causes a capacitor to discharge power by supplying power from the capacitor to an electrical load via a DC-DC converter, it makes the output voltage from the capacitor greater by a predetermined discharge voltage increase amount than the voltage generated by a power generator. As a result, the controller indirectly suppresses or stops the power generator from generating power without having to alter the command voltage for the voltage generated by the power generator.
